VM customer services are pants, the complaint department (words fail me to describe the incompitance)
Just my my experiance
I've never understood people complaining about WiFi issues from their internet provider. They are just that an 'internet provider' providing the connection from the outside world to your home. All homes are different and if you suffer with bad signals around the house then you are best getting a separate dedicated better quality router. It's kind of like saying my gas company is crap because my grill doesn't grill things very well (OK so the gas company doesn't provide the cooker but hopefully you get my point...get a better cooker!).

At the opposite side of the scale been with them 12 years no issues
Always check the services available in your area.

Been trying for nearly 5 months now to get VM to provide me with the services I pay for( the only one working is the modem, tv box crashes all the time, 3 sims keep cutting the call at random times (under a minute) can't even phone Virgin because the calls disconnect. Tried their online help and their text based help system but both were useless, can't log in online for some mystical reason)
Had to cancel the DD as after 5 months of trying to contact VM in every way possible enough is enough. Written a letter to Ofcom stating the problems with a report containing over 130 attempts to contact VM so I can try and recover the payments they have received for services they failed to supply.
Before the boffins jump in, I live next to the junction box and the nearest mast is half a mile away. Previously been on O2, EE and 3 contracts without any issue. Phones are brand new and work perfectly, TV box is just junk, I get faster and more stable TV services from a £20 cheap Chinese android box. This is a VM issue not a device issue.

I'm only seeing 100Mb available when I go to their site? 200Mb is £49 p/m. How do you get 200Mb for £33.99 p/m?
Edited by: "infinione" 14th May
what will happen after 12m??
the price will go up to £59/m, assuming you had to disconnect and get a new tarrif?

Just cancel before, switch, bag more Quidco.

If you stay, make sure you negotiate a new lower cost contract.

In regards to switching, there's few that can offer the same kind of speeds as VM. Also, when cancelling I was told by customer services that VM cannot be set up at that property again for a certain amount of time. If that is no longer the case, then that's great!
This is for new costumer or existing customers?

Gutted...I ordered the 100mb deal on Tuesday...gets installed tomorrow.
Would have loved 200mb for the extra £4.
On the Quidco/TCB pages

'Cashback will NOT be awarded if any voucher code is used.'
350mb broadband is only £41 for 12 months if you upgrade the offer to that. Amazing deal

Unbelievable you need compo mate
hi, i took out the offer yesterday night. my installion is in 2 weeks time.
i was afraid to add the bra5cb0 code incase i did not get the quidco offer.
but if you sign up as a new user you can get extra £17 by signing up to 'be clever with your cash' by andy webb newsletter. the virgin offer and new quico setup should be mutually exclusive. hopefully lol
i bumped up sim to 15gb for extra £4.

so 37.99x12 months+£35-£75= 415.88.
- £135-£17 for quidco= £263.88
that's £263.88/12= 21.99 a month. result lol

im cancelling my nowtv broadband £31 and ee sim card at £14 a month=£45

so im saving £23 a month and getting 200mbps from 67mpbs. 110 tv channels+ phone line. im dropping 3gb on sim. but i can live with 15gb of data.but i get unlimited calls+texts

update:
quidco say my offer is tracked at £135+£17 bonus. fingers crossed i get it.

the only thing is after 12 months. how hard will it be to get virgin to give me a deal to stay, or to swap back over to llc company? do i pay Megabucks to swap line back over. or just pick a company that will wave connection fee. i will miss 200mbps lol
Has everyone’s Quidco tracked? Mine hasn’t, I ordered yesterday.
Mine did
did not know i could bump up to m350 for extra £5 a month. dont really need it. but it would be great going from 67mbps to over 200 but 350???. stuff of science fiction lol

thats ((£43x12)+35-£75-£147)12=£27 a month.

dont like £80 after 12 months boo hoo

think ill ring them and go m350. he he

Hey! Cashback can take up to 72 hours to track in as normal for this retailer. if it hasn't tracked in by this point, just drop me an email at Joseph@quidco.com and I can sort that for you -Joseph(Joseph@quidco.com)

As with most issues with Virgin Media, PEBCAK
We have been having video calls every day with work. 20 people at a time. Consistently every time the people with virgin broadband have issues. Seems to throttle all the time.
They increased my BB only from £26 to over £36 in a year and lied when i told them i was leaving. The annual increases alone were enough to put me off but the end of my ‘special deal’ was the final straw.

Also area 22 and have had similar issues. When it works, the broadband is great.
But the WiFi signal is poor around the house and I haven't been overly impressed.

We're on the top ultimate oomph package which is just about to expire. The best they could offer me is £120 a month so I've cancelled!

I still think their broadband is the best bet though, so am tempted to take this offer out in a new name as a "new customer"
Any advice from people who have done that?

I'm concerned about having to potentially go without internet which would be a big problem at the moment!

Thanks for your help.

Ah unfortunately not for the £50 voucher code, you'd only be able to use voucher codes that have been advertised on Quidco to be eligible for the cashback. We might not be seen as the referrer of the sale if you use a voucher code from the retailer directly, so sorry about that -Joseph(Joseph@quidco.com)
