cheapest I can see on the website is £20 a month for 10 mb.

I believe cashback deals are not allowed as they are never guaranteed.

What About this?

that link is not working for me - i get to your "
basket gateway"

Virgin are awful, and overpriced. My 10mb broadband is often more like 250k in peak times. After midnight it speeds up a bit.

Your bundle
12 month contract

£0.00 for 2 months
£18.00 a month after that

Only first 2 month cost 0.00. After 2 month you are paying £18 a month for the package and also £11.99 for line rental.

> £11.99 for first 2 month
> £29.99 for the next 10 month of the contract

How the... I've just gone on there and got the same thing! Tempted to sign up now for my uni flat which I move into on the start of September!

ahhh, it would be good if not for the line rental too...

They are a bit sneaky with the totals at the bottom of the screen

I'm surprised they can get away with that! its criminal! lol

Virgin are sneaky. I use them and the salesman lied to me! It was not the bargain I thought when I signed up. I would not trust them but maybe others have better experiences than I do. The service centres are not up to much but the broadband has been fine.

well unfortunately i cant expire this now lol! so im stuck with the awfull breeze haha!

Deal seems good enough. I have a 10Mb link with them and regularly get around the 9.8Mb mark on downstream.

I've found Virgin to be OK, but in terms of the speeds, you do have to watch out for the traffic management:

virginmedia.com/myv…php

e.g. if you exceed a threshold of 1500MB (for size L) between 4pm and 9pm you get throttled back to 25% for a while. So 10Mb becomes 2.5Mb (which is about 320KB/s).

Not saying this is why you're finding your speeds slow, it might just be crap in your area, but thought I'd mention it.
