Got the deal last year which worked out at around 18 per month as i paid line rental up front for 50mbs. Messaged them earlier about any deals for renewing as thinking of changing provider and got this, will try and pay the line rental up front also to save another 30ish ( i forgot)!

I can see your current monthly charge is of £5.00, Your broadband speed is 50mbps.

chris:

but it is due to end. can you match the deal?

Mahendra:
I have another deal for you at £26.00 , This deal includes Broadband 100mbps and phone - talk weekend along with line rental.

not bad if you just want broadband (sky/bt openboxes are readily available for around 40 with a years sub) and run multiple devices or the hassle of changing provider again.

Cheers

Why is this such a good deal when you were previously on £5 a month?

I paid the line rental for the year up front last year. Im basically getting double the speed now for a few pounds extra, without changing provider again without knowing what i'll get if i did change. I turn into a right bell end if my interweb plays up!

This applles to the Majority....Re retention deals (car/ telecoms/ broadband providers). staff are given personal targets/budget on a sliding scae I. e. % retained /cost per call e.g. 95% / £5 per call . so depending upon when in the month you ring then and how near their target/cost per call they are will determine how much they are prepared to discount,in contrast to website offers which are generally open to anyone . So ring them at start of month or towards end and hope you get through to someone hitting or close to target with plenty of budget left. hope this helps

It doesnt really mate - targets dont have to be at the beginning or end of a month? Fact of the matter is why let me leave when theyve done the hard work, everyones happy

£5pm for broadband only. Plus line rental.
I pay £23 all inc for 50mb so it's about right.
Not bothered with 100mb as your device can only handle so much the rest is wasted.

Really? you wouldnt pay 1 pound extra to double your speed (by 50)? I have multiple devices also. I dont mind cold votes but come on mate.

Good to know Virgin offer reasonable retention deals. I switched my dad to Virgin today on their VIP package. So all of Sky sports/cinema and BT sport in HD, 200mbps internet and anytime calls. It worked out at just over £69pcm once the cashback rolls in. I've told him to stick a note in his diary to haggle with Virgin in 11 months.

Better than what I got recently so well done.

I got the same for £28/month.

Only posted to help out others as theyve helped me. Strange how the 50mbps which was posted recently (and the deal i had before this) went super hot but this, which i feel is a better deal especially as its not just new customers, is shivering.

Scorpion: this is also for my dad whos getting on a bit, if i left him to it he'd be getting robbed so make sure you set that reminder! :o)

this is flat out false. Gigabit LAN and any device with AC wireless can absolutely use the full 100mbs and more. I peak at around 108-112 when downloading.

So just to clarify, "This deal includes Broadband 100mbps and phone - talk weekend along with line rental" - Does that mean line rental is included in the £26 price or do you need to add the line rental costs on top of the £26? Thanks

yes its included

How do i actually get this deal? It only redirects me to the £15 sim only deal whnever I click on it
