I have been paying for my M connection for the past 18 months (infact, ever since I joined them), In conversation i mention my router was getting a bid old and i needed a new one

the guy then informed me that if i up grade to large package on my broadband( £2 more pm) i would get a free lynksis or Dlink router (no model given) and if i paid £20 more i would be sent the d-link 615 (rrp £50)

call 150 now!!

So the deal is £2 more per month than yours previously?

So how much is it now?

Customers on 'M' sized broadband packages were upgraded to 10MB for free. The 'L' size is also 10MB (The only difference is the amount of data you can transfer before you get traffic managed).

see the following link:

The fact routers can be picked up for around £30 nowadays, it doesn't seem worth being tied into a fresh 12 month contract for the sake of 6 quid (just my opinion)

Voted cold as this isn't a deal at all.

I already have upgraded to 10MB for free with them so can i still get the free Router from them

Be careful if you try and get a free router. I called up to get mine earlier this year with a similar offer, they confirmed it, then I noticed I was charged full price for the router on my bill (!!). Called up, could only get through to India, they kept reading scripts and telling me there was no indication of me opting for a free router on the account and they HAD to charge me. After many calls, managed to get through to the UK, they apologised and quickly said they'd rebate me. They never did, so I just gave up and left it...

The crazy thing is, I didn't actually need it, just thought I'd go for it as a back up just in case!

Agreed! I'm not amused at the free upgrade for M customers but nothing for L so I'm either going to screw them for a cracking deal or leave them soon as my contract is up.
