Saving £108! (although you'd most certainly never pay full price). I know you can possibly get cheaper ones at Wowcher/Groupon but when giving as a gift I know which I'd rather be giving to someone wrapped up!

The same gift experience is currently £109 at Virgin Experience Days.

Good saving, but having done it earlier in the year...wouldn't recommend it!

Lot of waiting around and additional extras to pay for on the day

Cheaper if you buy from Tesco

Tesco £59.99

Most of the experience days are run by the same company, Everyman Racing - you can often find last minute special offer deals on their website. If you are going to take the time out to do this, then you might aswell spend an extra £30 and do the 5 car experience, there is a lot of waiting around, but I thought it was worth the experience. You do not have to buy any of the extras if you do not want to.

Agreed that you don't have to, but that's only after being scare-mongered into paying for the additional £30 insurance otherwise you are liable for a £5000 excess!

That is true, I did pay the insurance the first time I did it, but the instructors do not let you thrash the cars around the track enough to warrant paying the extra insurance. Anybody who takes the car off the track would have to be a really rubbish driver, as the instructors do give you detailed instructions on what to do.

The only extra worth getting is the USB stick, which you can record your laps on to, each car has 2 cameras fitted, one to record the track, and the other to record the driver. A worthwhile expense to remember your experience.
