This is no virgin anymore i think as it moves houses due to their price rises!!
I ordered last night the basic package after considering this, but not really needing the extra channels.

100mb + basic tv is 29/mo, minus 50 credit, minus 40 TCB = 258 for the year = 21.50 / mo
I got this deal for £39 a month.
Is this for new customers only?
Mine was a retention offer. Rang them. Offered me a deal I was not happy. Retention team called me back after 4 days and offered me the £39 deal

Hi,

Where did you get that deal?

I got this deal for £39 a month.

Good deal, but this works out at £33 per month so £72 cheaper over the year.
Good deal.

Is this for new customers only?

Virgin page states 'new customers only' - see bignasty187 comment, as an existing customer they were offered this for £39 p/m.
I just got 100mb broadband, telephone, and the basic tv with new modem and v6 box for £32 for 18months existing customer.

I am tempted to try and get them to match the new customer offer for this at £29/month. Presume you tried and they said that was the best they could do?

Funny enough, I got my deal yesterday too, similar to yours but mine is £30 a month + £20 activation fee. 100mb + player tv + talk more weekends - £50 bill credit - £50 refer a friend = £280 or £23.33 per month...
Anyone know why the mods wont let me put the discounted price (£33 p/m after credit and cashback) in the title?

Yeah I tried they offered me 37 but said that was not good enough they spoke to manger and dropped it to 32. Which is better than the 29 as it’s for 18 months instead of 12

How did you get that? When I go through the referral, the extra offer 50 credit disappeared at the last confirmation page, making the standard 50 offer plus 40 cashback better than the 50 refer a friend alone.
my Broadband is still 5 months in contract. All he could offer me was £49 per month and no account credit

Well, I started from talking to them on the phone first as my friend referred me to VM a week ago, so I get the £50 referral offer. Then I saw VM running a promotion two days ago for a free amazon echo dot or £50 bill credit for new customers, so I phoned the VM guy and said I wanted the £50 bill credit too. He refused to give me that at first, but I told him if I wasn’t getting the bill credit, I would cancel the contract. He put me through to the installation team, again the team told me I couldn’t have the credit and once again I said I would cancel the contract then. In the end, they gave up, they confirmed that I will get both the £50 referral credit and the £50 bill credit. I must say these guys were not helpful and were deliberately not telling me what I was entitled to get. They sold me a talk weekends package but never mentioned the package only covers free calls to virgin mobile in weekends. But now I pay extra £1 to upgrade to Talk MORE weekends, I can call any UK mobiles for free in weekends. Their customer service is worse than crap...
