You can combine MSE’s offer with Quidco. I did it earlier in the year. Click through MSE’s link then select the option to send your basket to your email address. Clear cookies, click on the link in your email and then click through Quidco. You can then get the MSE offer and Quidco, this worked for me and Quidco paid out a few months later.

Nope if yu go via MSE you wont get Quidco. If you go through Quidco (even if this pays out) you won't get the £25 per month and the £75 bill credit with no set up costs.
Hot deal and given this deal heat. However not for me. VM tried keeping my money and not giving the requested package. To get my money back I had to fight with them for nearly 2 months.

I've heard only bad things about them in South Birmingham. Internet not working or slowed down massively at peak times. In Derby, they messed up installation at my family members house even though they had ordered everything under the sun in TV, phone and BB from them.

Proceed with caution and don't be afraid to get the ombudsman involved. Don't settle for broken promises.
Still waiting for the £190 cashback from the deal I signed my family up for in January, installation was cancelled about 5 times due to cable problems in the road, finally installed in April.

Generally works well, but no sign of the cashback, contacted Virgin and they said that the onus was on me to prove that the cashback was included in the deal.

Quidco investigated and about a month later said it had been approved, though it might take a few weeks for the vendor to transfer the money, logged on the other day and the cashback approval has now disappeared.

Moral of the story, take screenshots of the cashback offer.

Did it track initially?
Yes, then it was declined, I thought it was because it hadn't been installed on the original date, due to multiple cancelled installation appointments.

After the installation in April I contacted them again, that's when the support guy said I had to supply written proof of the offer.

A month later it was suddenly approved, but as I said above it never arrived in my Quidco account.

Fair enough- however past experience of trying to clear cookies/cache and combine offers is that it doesn't work for either offer! not knocking it if it did pay out but this is a one off as opposed to the norm

Moral of story. Don't be afraid to cancel the order and walk away from the deal.

For installation problems to be delayed 5 times due to the cable in the road, that is unacceptable and beyond normal circumstances. It's a poor reason logically speaking.

Ordered in January and installed in April? Those are clear out of ordinary delays. That said the other moral of this story is to not depend on cashback coming through.

That said I use top cashback and haven't ever had those things happen to me. Sounds unusual for that to be the case.

What's MSE

Money saving Expert.. Martin Lewis's website

He also appears on tv from time to time.. he's been on tv earlier tonight on ITV..

It's a fantastic website.. I'd advise you pop over and browse some deals
It was a very good deal, £89.00 a month for 350 broadband, all UK calls, the big TV package including all the Sky channels, BT sport and two Virgin boxes, and £190.00 Quidco, as the previous broadband deal with BT had run it's course it was just a matter of giving BT 30 days notice when Virgin was finally installed.

The previous BT deal was around £130.00 with sports packages, so the Virgin deal was worth waiting for.

I also got Virgin to compensate for the multiple installation delays, they gave a £10.00 a month rebate for the length of contract, so the monthly price is now £79.00.

But still no sign of the £190.00 Quidco cashback.
Had 100mbit broadband only package. 3x router was replaced. When WiFi was finally all right then it would slow down at peak times or off peak streaming from Europe was slow (fast on 4G so no websites fault but virgin traffic shaping at play). Raised price to 41 quid. I said I will leave. Their final offer was 31quid from retentions
. I was with them for over 10 years. Fk virgin in the as.
Good luck getting quidco paid on VM deal.

Thats awful.

It's frustrating when ours cuts out for half an hour, but I imagine three months of delays for installation of broadband caused substantial headaches and a lot of wasted free time.

Raise a formal complaint against Virgin Media via MSE-backed Resolver.co.uk for a reasonable amount of compensation (you get to decide what that is of course as you suffered the hassle), and escalate to their Ombudsman with a few clicks if Virgin reject you (they almost certainly will) for a fair decision:

moneysavingexpert.com/site/resolver/

For anyone else in a similar situation more recently, from MSE:

From 1 April 2019, Ofcom's Automatic Compensation Scheme means broadband and landline customers will get money back from their provider when certain things go wrong:

If your landline or broadband stops working and is not repaired within two working days of reporting it, you'll receive £8, and then £8 for each day it remains unfixed.

If your new landline or broadband service is not up and running on the day promised you'll receive £5 for each calendar day it's delayed, including the missed start date. There's no limit on this, so you'll keep accruing the compensation until it's sorted.

If an engineer doesn't arrive for an appointment as scheduled, or it's cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, you'll receive £25.

Compensation is automatically paid as bill credit within 30 working days of the issue. If you choose to leave your provider while you still have bill credit to spend or before you get it, this will be refunded to the bank account you use to pay your direct debit or sent as a cheque.

Possibly. But I always take any cashback available with codes imidiatly.
Anything else is bonus if paid.
I have lost faith with cashback websites because of number of purchases caahback not paid out.

Tempting as it is to open another Quidco account via this (or indeed refer myself from my wife's account for a tenner each) I'd be worried that they'd flag the duplicate account and I'd risk losing £120 for the sake of £17.
