is this for new customers only... or existing customers too ?

I called yesterday and was told there are no offers for existing customers After talking to a few people I eventually managed to upgrade my package and knock £26 off my monthly bill.

Only new customers, unfortunately. I ended up cancelling as my last deal had just finished and they didn't/couldn't give me any incentives. I'd have been OK if they offered the Black Friday deal for M350 and landline £35.
I called last week when these deals launched as an existing customer asking them to match the M350 @ £35/month. First person couldn't help. Politely but firmly talked with the second person in retentions and eventually agreed on £34/month for 18 months (still contracted for only 12).
The experience I have seen with Virgin Media at my brother's house. It drops connection speeds and never gets the true maximum speed what he pays. Even at weird times e.g. 1.00am it should receive 200Mps, but the speeds of 40Mbps which sucks.

never touch virgin media ....its easier getting out of jail
Been an existing customer for 20yrs, paying £48 pm for M25.
Telephoned to ask about a better deal quoting black Friday deals.
Absolute nothing. they do not careless about existing customers. so gave notice to end contract, got a call later offering me £38 for M25 .... no way was I accepting such a poor performance at that price.

I was on Virgin 100M for £22 a month and canceled yesterday due to my monthly bill going up to £25.50. I rang up, but the best they offered was £25 a month so they really left me no choice.

I went for the 350M with phone line for £35 a month this morning on a new account in my wife's name and Quidco tracked at £130.

I think the 350M bundle is a pretty good deal for around £25 a month after taking the cashback into account..

Lol 350mbps are you for real?

How many are in your household streaming 4k at the same time!

As an ex NTL engineer I hate how Virgin took over and have made this just a numbers game and where all the confused punters base the purchase on how big the number is - the last company i was networking Cisco stuff for only had a 100mbps link for 100 of the designers and programmers that worked for em!

CCNP network engineer and electronics design & repair for the last 40 years - very real!

So you are telling me you have no patience or dont want to use a batch downloader like we used to do when we were on 56k pots!
I take it you are a teenager who wants everything now!
I wish i had more money than sense too but sadly not!
100gb computer game really jeez and i thought 10k was a lot on the BBC micro when i was a games programmer back in 1985?
Seriously?

Starting a sentence with lol is apparently a bad thing is it - i wouldnt know i dont concern myself with syntax mainly semantics cant stand the spelling police and grammar bores on social media - cant stand social media in general actually!

But you did give me a laugh so have some popcorn on me!

If you can't stand social media way are you being so social about your opinions on here?

Most of your opinions and the statements you make really point at you being the younger of the two of us.

In regards to the popcorn, only if it's toffee..

They offered my c350 and phone line for £39. But with the black Friday deal being £35, I said they could go ahead and cancel. They will call back again.

Did they accept the order?

I asked if I could do this when I rung up to cancel they told me that I couldn't put it in my Mrs name as you cant have Virgin in the same house within 60 days of a contract finishing.

They did yes.

While placing the order it showed that my address already had an active connection and that it would take 14 days to switch over.

My delivery date is marked for the 14th of December..

Yeah it's rubbish. I've done the name swap thing a few times when retentions don't play ball. I just time my start date to match my existing 30-day notice finish date

When you change names, does the new person have to have a different bank account from the existing account holder? TIA

I used the same email with a different bank account, so I believe the bank account matters more..
As an existing tried with 3 different people on 3 different days but no playing ball, so cancelled with service end date of 28th, even had a call back from them today but still not plaing ball, went through process of putting my wife details through but install dates only go up to 23rd december and needs to be after 28th when my currebt service ends, should I just process and take the 23rd and then ring and ask to change to 29th? or will they get wise and see what I am doing? any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks

I did exactly the same! My current service ends on the 28th of December, but when I took out the new contract on Saturday I selected the first possible date, which was the 14th of December.

Got an email this morning confirming that my new installation date will be on the 29th of December so they adjusted it on their end to not overlap

Then I got a call back from loyalty about possibly staying on my current plan, upgrade to 350M and save both them and me the hassle of going through the motions of changing accounts etc. I told the guy that I mentioned this to them the day I canceled, but no one could even offer me the Black Friday deal if I stayed.

He mentioned that in fact that is what he was there for, so he then offered me the 350M deal for £34 instead of £35..

I declined..

How is this exactly done? Does it have to be done online only?
