Virgin Media broadband upgrade from 100Mbps to 200Mbps for 1p a month! (Account Specific)

I was checking my Virgin Media account earlier, and thought I would have a look at the upgrades. To upgrade my broadband only from 100Mbps to 200Mbps, they were offering the upgrade for 1p a month! Hopefully this will go through and isn't a pricing error

Edit: I got this price just by choosing to upgrade my broadband, rather than upgrading the full package, which came out at a lot more

£20 extra a month for me sadly

Cracking deal. Perhaps user specific, but still worth a nose if with Virgin.

10.75 for me

Been with them for about 10 years now. Last year I managed to get my bundle price down with the same package. Still much cheaper than the equivalent I would get with Sky, so I'm happy

I got stuck on that with Chrome, then went through Edge and it loaded nearly straight away

Retentions rang me a few days ago and offered me 100meg broadband and free weekend calls for £22 a month including line rental is this a good price or shall i hold out for a better offer?

Seems like a decent deal, it's £34 a month for new customers

iv got the same been waiting 15mins now

Im meant to be on 100mb but only ever get around 25-30

£1.57 for me cheers Op

It's up to 100 Mbps and up to 200 Mbps. So in effect, you could end up paying more and getting less.

God, I wish I could get Virgin Media where I live. I'm stuck with BTs "fibre".

That's because it's SUPERFAST FIBRE...... "The mother of all broadband"

£13.99 extra on my account

I got it for 21pm

Does that include the line rental? If so that is a cracking price.

I also assume no TV?

Currently pay £28 for TV, 100meg and phone - upgrade offer was an extra £24 for it, so t think I'll pass! Good deal for OP, but his package is about 2.5x more per month than mine!! So I guess Virgin doesn't care

anyone having issues with the continous loop, just try a re-opening in a different browser..... just switched from firefox to chrome and it worked straight away.
didn't get the 1p upgrade offer... it was an extra £2.55 a month,

Not too sure about the £20 activation fee and the "for 1 month" thing..... I know they're upping the prices again in november, so might be a safe bet leaving it until then.

Upgrade from an extra £2.55 a month*
£53 a month
for 1 months
Line rental included
£20 Activation Fee

Hope you are not paying 75 a month!!

Mine just says "Changing your package online:

For just £19.99 a month I can upgrade from 100 to 200mb

Weird. It said £1.57 extra but when booking on the next page put my tv 📺 up by £21 a month taking me from £54 to £75. Just left it not paying that.

Hmm extra £7 a month for me. Not sure if its worth it as I'm not happy with what I'm paying now, despite many calls to try get it down and being with them for around 25 years.

At the moment I have:
VIVID 100 Optical Fibre 100mb
TV M with Tivo 500GB
Talk Weekends
= £46 a month

With the 200mb it would be £53 a month.

We barely use the TV, and I hate the Tivo box, its just crap, but apparently according to Virgin we are technically having the TV for free ?!

I'm sure this should be a lot cheaper?

If you aren’t in a cancellation period, you can get 200Mb BB only for £28 through retention’s cancel make sure you have they can call you set up on your account and within 2 days get a call. £22 for 100.

£20 for me but realistically I would notice no difference. It's amazing how caught up people get with headline figures, almost like megapixels in a camera. For 90% of people going from 100mb to 200mb is like paying extra for a car with a 200mph top speed over the 150mph they currently have...

those on 50mb will be getting upgraded to 100mb for free soon anyway.. sometime.in november.

I was told end august I will be upgraded from 50mb to 100 free soon , but still waiting

Internet speeds are finally catching up to my expectations of the internet from about 20 years ago. Bit like how 4G is also (mostly) delivering the kind of mobile promises that 3G was sold on. 2004- 3G is here! Stream lots of (crap quality) video! With absolutely no useful coverage!

Ahh well. The future is finally here, just as well it's called the present

yeah, i'm not in a cancellation period... have considered it though because of them constantly 'upping' the prices.
I'm paying £50 a month at the moment for, full house TV, phone and 100meg.
probably will upgrade the fibre for the extra £2.50, but gonna wait until next months price increase, just incase their 'current' fibre prices suddenly double or something?
