it's great value shame you cant put a cap on overspend
Good deal just a shame Richard Branson owns virgin media.
...got this deal last month, but struggle to connect to gmail using mobile data, so don't know really if it is down to some phone settings, or Virgin is to blame. I couldn't also make calls while abroad last month (Italy), so there is another big question mark over Virgin's service!?!
is this 4G? because i remember in the past that i had a similar deal it was restricted only to 3G connections
...4G, restricted to what?

...4G, restricted to what?

No access to 4g which means as there's no 3g in my area 2g EDGE
I have access to 4G, but gmail prompts sync error!?!
was this a new sim or for an existing one?
is it rolling or for a year contract?

thanks
Can you get on 'adult' web sites with virgin sims without the hassle of asking them to unlock the sim?
I called up and told them I was leaving not long ago and the retentions team changed my plan to 2500 mins, unlimited texts, 3GB of 4G data (rolls over) for £6pm (1 month contract). Think I was previously paying £7pm for 1000 mins, unlimited texts, 1GB of 3G data (no roll-over).

... as soon as you've signed up, they'll move the goal posts and bump up prices too (if broadband contracts are anything to go by)
is EU cross-over free roaming included?

I have recently changed my old virgin contract with a new one, they told me I need a new SIM card, 4G as mine was only 3G. They sent the new SIM.
Is virgin still offer free calls to 0845/0870 numbers with new contracts?
Last time I looked a few months ago you can't tether on VM.

Looking at the mess of Brexit I doubt MPs will vote in a final exit vote to make us all poorer. The usual Tory shambles, as part of the EU they have managed to spend another 1.5 Trillion £ of debt since taking office whilst cutting all public expenses, imagine they could sell/outsource all the gov services off worldwide to shareholder companies and quadruple national debt yet again - that’s what’s happening.

Very disappointed by Virgin. Didn't even want to match their own deals and would not match plusnet deal to keep me as a customer, so off I went. No longer a Virgin!
Overall a good deal. 🔥

except that adult sites are not only, as you might think, xxx rated ones but also bookmakers, lottery, and many more.
Just phoned VM up regarding this deal. NO DEAL !!!!! It is only valid for new customers with a new number. So 1st thing tomorrow, I'm gonna search the web for a better deal and say bye bye to Virgin Media. They simply don't care about existing customers.

I was even blocked from visiting a fish and chip shop website once, probably because it had 'bar' in the title. Laughable

Still waiting for an answer to the original question.... Surely there are some VM customers ITT?

except I didn't think they were just limited to xxx , gambling sites that get his heart racing after a flutter are also banned , hence why I never stated 'xxx'.
Anyway a good heads up for those that didn't know that gambling websites are for over 18s , right ?
is this for existing Virgin Mobile customers only, or vrigin media? Confused by the title

Site blocking is more that just keywords, more likely the site has been compromised by someone else and is marked as potentially malicious as it contains malware.

No you did not mention 'xxx'.

However, you did post the Richard Branson link which is a scam bc that link also contains a link to a scamming site.

Me and er in doors got this deal last June but with 2500mins,2GB of data and ultd text for £5 a month.

Richard Branson doesn’t own Virgin Media, Liberty Global does. Google is your friend
Does anyone help, which deal allows cap (apart from Tesco )on over spend.

Richard Branson used to own Virgin Mobile, he sold that to NTL/Telewest for a small stake in the whole business, NTL/Telewest then re-branded to Virgin Media for a fee. Richard Branson sold his stake in Virgin Media years ago, and the business is now owned by Liberty Global as someone else has already said.
