The previous deal I posted with the £75 shopping voucher has now expired, but with their 'sale' still on and the cashback still available I thought I would post this and see if we get any heat at all

I went with Virginmedia back in August. They failed to transfer my landline over and eventually got it deactivated after giving me the runaround, and then had the cheek to accuse me and every man and his dog for losing the number.

They have one of the worst customer services team (based in India) I've dealt with. It took on average 25 minutes to get through to them each time, and talking to them was as painful as doing a tooth extraction. Eventually took my case to CISAS and got £300 compensation.

Never again with them.

Tbh, virgin do have very bad customer service. But... Imho so do BT, talk talk, three and a few utility companies. I get sick and tired of the run around we members of the public have when dealing with these companies. Good for you getting the compensation .

Haven't needed to speak to Virgin Media much so not sure - but I think they are all as bad. The worst ever I have to say has been BT and Plusnet - TalkTalk were always quite good for me, especially their retentions team. It was a case of what offer do you want and we will give it to you! - That is going back around 4 or 5 years now.
Why is this getting voted cold, i thought it was a decent deal...or am i reading this wrong?

The quality of service in several respects seems to be on a downward spiral.

I get 200mbps phone and TV for £44 and I got £150 cashback plus a pair of £200 headphones. Probably why haha
If you have missed the previous deal, just wait, you'll be better off that way. Don't go into an overpriced contract and don't dream at the "possible" cashback.
Beware of the awful Virgin Media service at all times!

This is normal price range.. I wouldn't pay over £20 a month for fibre. I currently pay £19.99 per month for bt infinity one its 50mbps download and 10 upload. All with a free ring door bell.
You guys clear

Clearly you have not dealt with Scottish power.
Signed up and tried cancelling with 14 day period to be told I missed it by 1 day. I then thought about it and realised I was still within period. So called back to be told a glitch on the system had put me down as signing up 4 days before I actually had. But I had to wait until I was live to have it reversed.
Only to find out today that now it was live I have to cancel and wait for them to investigate.
It's been a farce start to end. I do not want anything to do with Scottish Power again.!!!!
Don't go with Virgin Media as they have no Customer Services just Customer Anguish caused by their incompetency

The worst company i have ever dealt with they lie put the price whenever they feel like it,Its time they were made to lease their cable lines to other companys.Like BT had to,We might get decent customer service then.
Don't forget to factor in your guaranteed FREE price increase, should add another £2 to your monthly bill. Bon appetité!
I am with Virgin Media and it has been ok for the last year, but I refuse to pay the £47 they want to charge me for the pleasure of staying with them. Rang the cancellations line and explained that my partner could take the contract over as a new contract. Offered a tiny discount over the £47 and she told me that it wasn't worth the hassle in swapping.
Looking at other broadband providers, and will probably go with Zen.
