Your Broadband speed information
We estimate that at peak times the download speed to your Virgin Media router will range between 108 and 111 Mbps and your upload speed will range between 10 and 10 Mbps. However, the actual speed you experience will vary and may be lower than your estimate. This may be due to a number of factors including your use of WiFi, your equipment, your internal wiring, peak time congestion and the number of subscribers accessing a particular website.

The minimum download speed to your Virgin Media router should not fall below 54 Mbps. If this happens for three consecutive days or more and we are unable to fix the problem within 30 days of you reporting the problem to Virgin Media, you may have the right to exit your Virgin Media contract without penalty. If you receive a download speed to your Virgin Media router which is below the minimum download speed, please contact us.

For more information on estimated speeds, how speeds may be affected by policies such as traffic management and fair usage, our commit
ment to Ofcom's Broadband Speed Code and what to do if you experience speed problems, check out virginmedia.com/ourspeeds.

We will send you an email with this information within 7 days of sale.

I'm not sure if you're joking or not. It's your home telephone.

I have not used my landline for over 5 years. When it rings we know it is an idiot trying to sell us something so no one answers it. Every one in the household has got a mobile phone so not sure what is the point of landline.

Question is, can I be bothered to go through all that? 😬

Land lines are a dying product. Mobiles are more convenient and cheaper. I remember the “good old days” when you couldn’t even get a bank account or pass a credit check without a home telephone number.

Just left after several years overpaying.

Didn't quite understand. if you are paying £12.50 for M100. I should say you are lucky.

I have it for £8.75/mo for 12 months, what's your point? I had used the MSE offer £25/mo + £75 credit and used Quidco link instead (which paid out £120 already)

Anyone thinking of doing the offer should do it through Quidco/TCB to get ~£120

But why didn't you threaten to cancel after the initial 12 months was up? IME VM are ALWAYS happy to do a deal as long as you play the game.

It went up every year until I was paying £66 per month for internet & TV.
Last straw was their £58 offer to renew.

I wouldn’t risk it.
It took them over four months to port my number across, I ended up paying for two contracts.
Ive never experienced such disjointed departments they have no idea what they’re doing in they’re own department let alone the others. You’ll end being transferred to different people and having to explain every little detail again and again and again and again until eventually you lose the will to live.

No way. Feel for you. Whenever you have an issue with any telecom company then email ofcom and find someone to email at respective company...they all fob you off on phone

did this- took advantage of the £50 credit (minus £35 set up fee) in September and just had £120 pay out via Quidco. Works out £14.75 per month which was way less than they would offer for a renewal of 100mb broadband only.

Cool story bro.
Incredibly unreliable internet, been down for over 40 days this year, including right now. Having to tether my phone right now.
confused between this, m50 or vodafone...
Had virgin a week or so now and their router is rubbish. I live in a one bed flat and I can’t get Wi-fi in my bedroom. Figure that one out.

I haven’t tinkered with anything yet but out of the box there should not be issues like this.

Fast 100mbps in the lounge though

Literally the worst customer service I have ever had from any corporation. I was not getting a consistent connection for more 6 months, VM didn't bother to fix it or call me back after more then 5 individual 2hr calls. One day I lost it and forced them to disconnect me instantly. Now I'm with BT, it all works as normal. I will never go back to those twats again.
I've never had any complaints about their service. It's fast and up 99.9% of the time. Only issue is if you have a problem, then god help you.
Other massive issue is you get a good deal then they slowly creep it up so you have to get on it constantly so I don't really like their ethic, especially when all the deals are for new customers.
We recently signed up to M200 Broadband only £0 installation and activation but no phone line for £33pm - 12 months. Do any broadband experts here believe this is a good deal or recommend a different offer?

Thanks in advance.
