Hi guys I called up to cancel my virgin media service and I got a phone call from them today they offered my the VIP deal which includes sky sports and movies. Also asked them to give me two V6 boxes and they agreed. So the VIP package I received for £43 a month. I have been with them for over 20 years though.

v+?

V6 box are great but if you have lots of people in house v6 will struggle as it does not have its own broadband connection

Plus line rental?

Way better than I got after cancelling contract because of the price increase.
£45 for 200mb, basic tv, line rental and V+ box. 12m contract

Bull

Awful Company to deal with.

Hmmmmm, something smells a bit fishy. For one Virgin Media was only formed in 2006 as far as I knew?

The OP probably means was with homechoice (or equivalent) who were brought up by someone else - or then were swallowed by Virgin: so feels like 20 years as haven't actually changed in that time

Shame Tivo is us such a bug ridden laggy pedestrian piece of rubbish. Personally I mix providers now, Virgin for broadband and Sky for TV. Best of both

The best I could get was £57 for Vivid 200 (200mb Broadband), Full House XL TV and Talk More Anytime phone. V6 box in front room and V+ box in bedroom. No Movies or Sky Sport (but BT sport is free). Still wanted £49.95 to install V6 box and the earliest they could install was February. Going to stick with my present package until new year.

I only need broadband but cheaper to get phone and tv included. Poor company to be with.

seems a bit too good to be true that retention deal

I've just called them (Customer since 2006). Interesting that they want installation fee of 150 POUNDS to upgrade from Tivo to V6 box

Rubbish is too nice desciption of that piece of ****. ZX spectrum loads things better and crashes less often

Great deal, until you try to cancel.

I tried this and was told to go away

Guys
I negotiated a deal for £45 ( V6, TiVo, 200 vivid bb, Full House TV) & continually have asked for the contract to confirm the details for which I'm still waiting. Anyway I have been told all the notes are on the system so not to worry.
Roll on 3 months later despite a few telephone calls querying my bills I have been charged £60 pm
