This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Just like many others I also played the game with Virgin, I’ve just had the call back from their outbound team and have taken the following:

£40.50 per month incl line rental
• Fun TV 1 x V6 & 1 TiVo
• Anytime Talk
• 200mb broadband

Hope it helps anyone out there looking to upgrade - don’t be afraid to cancel! This is the fourth year in a row and it’s worked every time they want you more than you want them.

Have you got TV-package before, cos I am on Vivid70 only from them and paying over £40 just for it alone, tia?
Completely agree, currently paying for 200mbps broadband but only getting 76mbps.
They upgraded me to 350mbps & now getting 126mbps.
They've been aware of the problem for nearly 2yrs, know how to fix it but won't until 10% or more customers complain.
Aka they're charging for a service they know they can't supply.
They're happy to refund £10/month, but that's no compensation if like me you pay £87/month for 2x phone lines + broadband.
I encourage all to do a speed test & claim the £10/month refund if you're not getting the speeds you're paying for!

it's sounds like your router cable issue not broadband. I pat for 200mbps and I'm getting my 200mbps fully or even more sometimes. Check if your Ethernet is cat 5e+ or cat 6.
What channels are included in the offer OP?
I haggled my bill down a bit, but wasn't able to get anything decent, they said they wouldnt upgrade me to 200mb, I got the V6 box and new router.

If you don’t get a call you can always request a call back from the outbound team. I did, go through the thinking of leaving us and ask them to email the outbound team for a call back.

Most channels except the full HD suite, +1 suite and movies etc - you can see the full list if you type Virgin media channel guide into google. Hope it helps

Just call them and give 30 days notice to cancel. Believe me you will get a call back before they disconnect you from there 'special team' begging you to stay, don't take there first offer, make them come down to a price that suits you.

I did and I was disappointed - only one call back with a £5 saving, no further calls or offers and I had an order in with BT which in theory should have escalated my cancellation. I left and my wife then rejoined as a new customer a week or so later

Just phoned and it took me 25mins to get the lady to accept my cancellation.
I've been paying £37.99 just for the 200 Vivid and a phoneline.
Hoping to get the same as you - I can't see the Fun TV package on the website just: VIP, Full House, Mix and Player.

When they phone I'll have a haggle and see if I can get them to match yours - anyone else had luck getting it yet?
Just cancelled myself after no success on phone currently paying £87 for 200 mb,2 boxs, wknd calls, and everything except sports best they could do as a loyalty customer crap was £10 off even after i said its a cost issue, moaned had internet issues with engineers out couple times in last 12 months also stressed that my contract had been up for last couple of months yet had no loyalty call regards renewing contract and finally said i rang months ago regards a v6 box and was told would be extra £ so so hardly a loyalty discount i said so just said cancel took several attempts tho just waiting for a call back hopefully.
Edited by: "gemvis" 25th Apr 2018
Question for existing customers is the v6 box free to ring up and ask for now?

No, it sounds like the connection is being capped or contended. If the router or internal cabling was at fault, the increase in speed from VM would not be seen at the customer side.

VM upping the speed at their side increased the contended speed the customer could achieve based on their profile.
I'm paying £45 for XL TV, 200mb broadband and weekend calls
I'm on 150mb fun tv v6 box evening and weekend calls £30-30p includes line rental last time they put price up i cancelled and after retentions rang it went down £2 a month.

They all the same, I have to jump through these hoops for Virgin Media, Vodafone, Insurance companies, and having to switch every yr for energy.
To claim your monthly £10 refund just check your broadband speed during peak & off peak times, & if it's outside of a 10% deviation give customer services a call & ask for the refund & get them to send an engineer round.
The engineer will scan your router, check your connections & check your speed - insist that they leave you a job sheet that clearly states the fault is a networking issue.
Same routine every month, every month £10 off & you can even have it back dated!

Fyi I'm using cat6 cables with VM super hub3 in modem mode with an Asus Rog Rapture with a network of 2000mbps homeplugs. So an all singing & dancing set up.

I'm not lucky tho tried this a couple of years ago they knocked a few quid off monthly payment and refused to upgrade my super hub 2 so still got super hub 2! I think all depends who you get when you ring. If you're lucky enough to speak to a generous agent then you could be offered a great deal otherwise you could get some miserable ones not willing to do much unfortunately!

...I think you haven't had to to do it, you should just call them and cancel your cancellation just before disconnection, bwtfdik
I did not want anything special. They were offering new customers for £29 100MB broadband, M tv and weekend calls. That was all I wanted. I called retentions, the best they said they could do was £49 and give me anytime calls.
So I called and cancelled, on the same day signed up to PlusNet for £38 (which included anytime calls)

Next day I got a call back giving me the £29 offer. (That is a £240 saving compared to what I would be paying, yes its without the anytime calls but still that is a massive amount).

What I don't understand is why even bother playing this game. Given everyone gets a 14 day cooling off period, why even make people go through the hassle of cancelling and then trying to get them back.

If a person can point to a legitimate offer, offered by a competitor or Virgin Media themselves, then they should match, if that is what they intend to do. Not call back 1 day later asking what you want.

I assume a lot of people don't actually cancel their services so if they can keep 60% of their customers who call retentions on a higher price, I guess that makes it worthwhile.
I Quit vip was paying £85 and my best offer was £95 for 12 months even tho new customer gets it for £85 what am I doing wrong hehee

Yes I gave notice to cancel - they called the next day and the day after also. I missed them the first time and asked for a call back to which they did. The advisor cut straight to the chase on his best deal. Rather than making me work for a discount - go into the call with a figure in mind of what you deem acceptable for the services you wish and stick to it.

I did that two days ago.

Over the last two years I have done this and got a great deal both times, the latest of which was ending soon so I called the "Thinking of leaving us" option, asked if they could pay my line rental again, was told no, so asked to cancel.

The VM guy said he was putting on my notes that I had asked for line rental paid for my by VM and they will not call me this year to offer that in my 30 day cancellation period ... Let's see what happens ...
Just had the services for over a week. 100mb supposedly, evenings I’m getting 28mb and weekends 12mb. Just cancelled it

Did you tell them about the fault? They would likely be able to correct it or give you a discount.
I have 100Mb and i consistently get around 108Mb, never had it drop below 100Mb.
I cancelled. Never got the call back. Now I’m with BT, thought I would miss my 300mb when I dropped down to 52mb but everything still works so still happy to have left Virgin considering I joined them when they were Diamond Cable!
Outbound Retentions called and I got this deal:

Full House TV
Sky Sports HD
Vivid 350
Talk Anytime
3 x V6 + 1 x TIVO (i.e. 4 "outlets")

£80 a month - for 12 months
After cancelling last week have missed a few calls from there retention team finally just had another call being offered 200 mb,v6 box, wknd calls and movies added came to £71 then guy said £61 but held off and just said thank you but no any advice if should just sit and wait etc?
