Interesting! I've been told "you'll never get a deal as low as what you had previously" soy Full House 200 wouldn't go lower than about £80, having paid £55 for a year. Need to call them, as my out of contract monthly is now £100!

Not true last august i got the price rise letter,I rang and told em to cancel the lot,They rang after a couple of days and gave me a v6 box for free and £2 less than i was paying. So instead of going up it went down.
This deal is terrible! The £26 a month I got for 50mb and no extras is way better than this.

Oh, no - wait. The opposite of that.

Last 12 month contract finished last month. Time for a call to Virgin.

This is a lie. CS say this all the time. When you get this just hang up and try again later. CS say all kinds of conflicting stuff. it's just luck and a being savvy on the phone that determines whether you can get a good deal. I stopped voting on these deals because for most the of stuff posted here. I'm pretty confident you can get a better deal by calling them and trying to blag. I just use these posts to see what kind of deals my fellow VM customers have.

Yes, that is the drawl you get from retentions when you call. But if you put through your notice, within a few days outgoing retentions will call you and they're the people that can give you the real discounts!
Is there a particular phone number to get retention team or New customer?

Mine has just gone from £55 to £88. Time to haggle!
VM Retentions offer some really crap packages.

I called ‭0345 454 1111‬, told them what can you offer me didn’t haggle or anything that’s the first offer they gave me. I did ask how much would it be for sky sports package they said that would take it to £71 which I thought was a bit too much
Thumbs up for the photo proof I posted same thing last year and got nothing but bad comments. amazing what a photo of deal makes
I have this exact deal. Was on £35 last year but they tried putting up for £75 when my contract was up. I called and cancelled and retentions called me the next day and offered it at £40 and through in a v6 box (I had tivo before)
Great price!
I got a pitiful £41pm for 100mb, Talk Weekends and TV M with V6 box +£30 cash back.

Varies so much!
I have had this package/price since my last deal ran out in January.
It's completely hit and miss. Sometimes you get a decent deal, othertimes nothing and no call from the retentions team. I was paying £55 for everything except sky sports (yes, movies included). Best they'd then do me was £99pm and wouldn't go anywhere near the £89pm new customer deal for the VIP package. Bit the bullet when they offered me what I had, minus the sky movies for £50pm all be it with slower Internet (not noticed). I then got sky movies via now tv for £41 for 6 months. All I need now is them to have a Now TV app on the v6 box as have to resort to using it via the ps4 as no smart TV. Good luck to those who get this though

I had virgin full house 200mb except sports for £39 for a 2 year deal !
Nice OP. I agree with others, it's hit and miss. I have this package with 2 boxes(inc v6) for £47.50, but had to cancel and wait for retentions to ring me. Worth it though.
Great deal!!! so much better than I got 100mb, player tv, and free weekend calls for £32. But we don’t use the tv or phone anyway
Called them up and they said they can only do 100MB, Mix TV for £45 (currently on 100MB no phone for £40). I'm scared if I cancel and end up with no internet as Virgin is the only provider in my area with fibre (I live in London!)
I have had 200mb broadband (only get max 70mb) , talk weekends and tv M paying £46 month been a member for 20 years and Retentions wouldnt do me any deals whatsoever - its a joke.

I got a deal from Talktalk for my mother 20mb broadband unlimited, talk weekends and free TV Plus with more channels than my Virgin TV M package for only £17.
How u get that deal for £40 im paying £65 for that called today

I'm on this too. Did they try to put your bill up 6months ago? I had to phone up and argue that my price was fixed for two years.
Got a good Virgin Media retention deal today, 200mb + Phone line rental for £22/month.
Rang up retention today who can inly offer me 200mb plus medium tv package plus anytime unlimited talk all for £51.00 per month. Not sure if this is a good deal or not

Mine ends in dec this year not been put up tho ?
I called yesterday as I have the Sports and Movies on top of this package to be told the best they could offer me was £96 a month. Had a really patronising woman who insisted I wouldn't get better especially for 200mb broadband. Told her to cancel as I only get 50mb tops but she told me I must have too many devices connected and also it must be my settings that are wrong as it isn't the signal that is at fault.and it keeps dropping out I now await retention's calling so I can go for the above as a minimum
I hate that it's such a lottery. I'm paranoid about missing The Call, as if *I* call *them* you don't get the good deal... Wish they just adopted Everyday Low Prices... 😣
BTW, I tried to get the cost down with Joker #1. I suggested removing the Sky Movies from the previous FULL House bundle. He did, and the cost didn't change. At all. Which is BS because they have to pay Sky...
I was on an incredible deal £16 per month for the full house package, 100mb and weekend phone (plus line rental). Am now on £50 for the Full House bundle including line rental, which still seems better than most.

How u get that deal for £40 im paying £65 for that called today

I just called and said what can you offer me that’s the first offer the operator made and I accepted
Not bad
Just tried me luck on same package. £60pm. Was told to shove it
Got VIViD 350 for £32
I managed to get the same deal last month and was given a £30 rebate on top. Then again, I can be quite persuasive...
Following as I’ve just cancelled today but wasn’t offered anything near as good
Called them up last night as my bill shot up from £48 to £106. All they could offer me was a reduction down to £75 per month.
Was on the 200mb broadband XL package (entertainment, BT sports, Sky Sports). Quoted this retention deal and the agent even found this link but said he personally couldn't match it. Ended up downgrading internet to 100mb and getting rid of Sky Sports (but keeping BT) on a rolling contract at £53 a month. They would only do fixed contracts to include Sky Sports @ £75 per month. Too much.
