£195 topcashback?

£195 topcashback?

I got £170 track, but they have a terrible track record of paying out.
I personally think this deal of only worth it with top cash back tracking.
My brother has got this deal as a new customer and it seems to have tracked.

As an existing customer I phoned VM and got them to match the deal without having cash back via retention team.

Good idea for existing customers

I've always had cashback paid out from virgin 3 years in a row.
Good deal considering the outbreak of Coronavirus. UK will be under lockdown soon if the numbers keep rising at current rate.
Great broadband when it's working. Mine has to be reset every few days as does most people's I know on Virgin. Customer service is probably the worst in the sector.

Do you have Hub3?
I have the 100mb with land-line gone upto 32.50 put cancellation in expecting call from outbound retentions not heard anything yet.

They are very last min. I had actually got a sky appointment before Virgin called with a retention deal. I was paying £49 for 100 with tv and landline and now pay the same for 200mbps with tv and landline. No movies, kids or sport.
I was 100mb on some days unusable due to oversubscribed network. Avoid virgin like the plague
This is great deal and no brainier, anytime I run speed test above 500Mb, only complaint I have after moving from Sky is UI on V6 boxes is absolutely garbage compared to Sky Q

Hopefully the Horizon update will fix it but not sure how long that will be

I've been with em for over 10 years never had a issue. By far the best broadband provider in my area. Not the cheapest tho.

I gave notice of cancellation recently, they took about a week to call me back. Offered me 200Mb without phone for £25, haven't accepted yet, but probably will do to be honest. It was that, or go with Vodafone's 500Mb service for £30 pm, but I'm mid contract with Virgin, so there was a cost associated with leaving...
How come it says you get 2 v6 boxes and a mobile ? Does that mean a sim ?

Out of contact- they raised my 350 broadband and phone from 42 to 52.

Then Managed to negotiate the ultimate oomph deal (deal above). Told them new customers with cash back effective cost is £55
They offered me £65/ month for 12 month contract. First 2 months free. Therefore Effective cost is £54.

Hope it helps
Worked perfectly with Quidco thanks op

Opinions on the value of the Bigger bundle?

£45 a month, £100 bill credit, £165 TCB
£35 setup fee

So £25.83 a month if cashback pays out

Cheers!

3 weeks from cancellation. 2 calls offering me to pay only £2 more per month if I stay with them
Phoned retentions and argued for 20 mins to get new customer deal, girl was very good and argued her point got fed up and said would call back. Going to cancel tomorrow and see how long it takes to phone me with an offer or does anyone have a retentions direct contact?

I like virgin there bb is good. I dnt mind paying 25 ish for 100mb I do need the land-line tho. Only put canx in few days ago will wait n see what happens.

If you ring up nearing the end of your contract and ask for retentions, they will invariably give you a new customer deal in return for another 12 month contract. I’ve done this for years and never failed yet. 500Mbit is awesome

I get on average 120mb on my 100mb package, yet I should avoid them because you had a problem? ok then, will cancell tomorrow, who provides better speeds than i currently get for the same price? 12 month contract, £25 a month, first three free, £130 topcashback, free install, 120+mb?

Do you have a partner, if so just swap the contract to their name and put your 30 day notice in and get it installed the day after

Is there not a risk that the Quidco cashback will get blocked later on because of the Virgin cash back offer? Anyone with previous experience of this?

Just given notice to Sky to cancel after my last deal ended, so this is well timed, had been looking at this bundle with he Quidco cash back, just want to know whether I'm risking that with Virgin's own cashback.

Don't forget the Ultimate Oomph throws in a totally unlimited data SIM so should you/any of your family be out of contract on your mobile contract that can be cancelled, saving you even more money off the current amazing deal! The Ultimate Oomph is IMO the pick of the bunch, especially, as long as the Quidco comes through, at a net £55/mth (then your existing SIM price to further deduct from this).
They can't reah 350mb advertised speed (I only get around 200) yet want to charge for the extra.

What are you measuring it on? Many devices can't record speeds of 350mb!

My i9 laptop directly wired to the router. I do suspect that the router is rubbish. I used to see 350mb on speedtest on wireless mobile (same room) let alone wired connection.
