Phoned Virgin media to see what deals where on offer. As a new customer I was offered this for 12months with a £20 set up fee. Just want a feeling if this is any good?

I think that’s good. I’m £60 for basic tv and good broadband.
The VIP is normally about £125, without any discount or special deals. So that is a good offer if you need it.
This will go cold but it is a good deal
seems good to me i am paying £42 and that's just for 350MB fibre and a useless phone li ne
I agree. Good deal I pay £60 for the usual unreliable kack. Mind you it's unlikely you will actually get what you pay for if virgin are true to form
I've been a customer for 11 years and the best they'd do this for me was £99 so great deal for new customers
Thanks for sharing op hopefully it will help someone...
Seems a bargain if you can get it
If it was posted at per month rate may have gone hot - I guess folks freak out at nearly a grand a year
Showing £88 a month for me
TCB as well
i think someone is missing a trick here £250 quid cash back , which is £20.83 off a month on £88 month deal , if my mafs are as good as Ali g's , that comes in at £68 a moth for the VIP bundle, just wish I was new customer
I pay just £30 per month for 1 v6 box + mix tv + weekend calls + 100 mb broadband, and I’ve downloaded the ‘LIVE NET TV’ app to my mobile which gives me all my sky tv for free, which I can then stream it from my mobile straight to my tv.
Seems like a good deal to me. I'm paying £110 for the same package. We had BB and phone and Tv with Sky. Their prices shot up so we moved. Only for a year so plan to switch to and fro each year, as they both do good deals for new customers only. The longer we've stayed with them in the past, the more you feel let down seeing all the good deals for new customers. Virgin tv platform seems a little behind the times now compared to Sky Q but to get BT sport through sky was an extra £27 ish per month as we didn't have a BT line. They said they couldn't budge on the price as was nothing to do with them. Plus the BB tbrough virgin is a blessing with 3 gaming boys in the house. Unless Virgin do something new and cool, i may well switch back to them in the new year. I miss the little things like browsing the channels and seeing a show, wonder if it's good and click it. Sky show you the show in a pip effect and allow you to carry on browsing. Virgin just go straight to the channel. That's a pain if it's a crap show...begin over again.

Good price for you as a new customer.
As an existing customer I upgraded to this VIP package last month with free install (including a second V6 box in a second floor room) for £99 per month. You will need to speak to Retentions towards the end of your 12 months contract to agree another deal, but then you will be an existing customer and the offers will be less attractive.
The speed improvement with the VIVID 350 Optical Fibre Broadband is very noticeable and makes upgrading most worthwhile.
got this deal with £250 cashback a couple of months back, cashback claim has just been confirmed.after install i had to spend 3 hours on the phone to them the next day to get everything working properly, the engineer they sent was hopeless, and as far as the souper dooper fast broadband and wifi goes its worse than sky but supposed to be 3x faster.
I cannot belive people still pay for TV this way. 70 quid a month? I know I'm tight but that's insanity
Does it include line rental?

That's for new customers, after 12 months it goes up and even with negotiating it may still be more than £88

I got offered that same deal today for 24.50 so took it. I will run it along my iptv subscription, cos sports and movie channels can be expensive if going through virgin.

I quite agree, the whole sky TV thing is a big con, it makes me laugh that they've left open this big loophole for these apps companies to exploit, if sky and others charged a reasonable price for there services in the first place, then maybe most people wouldn't go and use these apps. Do you also find that when you call virgin media, every rep gives you a different price for the same service?

That's why I moved to BT. BT always has better deal for existing customers wheras with Virgin its the other way around.
