Had unlimited data in the plan but data did not work in London or any other busy place. Since BT bought EE, started these fake 4G networks like EE Essentials, Virgin and Plusnet where it looks you are on 4G, connection is even worse than 3G due to very low priority on EE network.

Maybe you should have changed your phone instead!

Voted hot, i have been with Virgin for one year and a half without any problems here in Scotland. I then renewed my contract with them a few months ago, managing to secure a good contract (sorry better than this one) without having to beg their customer service for get a good deal as i had been doing with EE previously.

Will this work in my MiFi device?
Don’t forget the £20 with Top Cash Back !!
Voted hot also. Have been with them for around a year and the service has been good, including in London, indoors and outdoors

My S9 and Mate 20 Pro work perfectly. Even got new sim card from Virgin, very irritating when everyone else's phone worked. I have another iPhone on O2 from work. It worked as wellon O2 so only fault with Virgin. Virgin sim worked well after midnight when most people are sleeping or when I was at home so it was definitely the network.

Virgin I find great, changed from EE and get identical speed. Good deal
It will cost more than £144 because the price will go up with RPI in July.

You’re right. These MVNOs are never as good as the direct network. O2 is shoddy enough as-is, GiffGaff is an absolutely nightmare during slightly congested times. Got EE and Vodafone direct and up there with wired broadband speed and latency.

You probably had a dodgy SIM. I've personally been using virgin for years. 4G has been very fast and always works in London for me.
There was one month where I had crap connection. Turned out my SIM stopped working properly.

Very true. I've found that the usually increase works out to be around 50p per month.
Off topic but anyone on the £10pm 30 day rolling contract with 40gb manage to get a reduction in price from retentions?

Exactly the same here. On Virgin but in London I have to turn the data to 3g to get any internet at all.
I am coming to the end of my 12 month sim contract luckily. May I ask whether Vodafone or EE would be better?
Cheers

No it was definitely not the sim card, because it started working after midnight and I changed sim card twice. But in the beginning I got EE simcard which they said could not transfer my number so I had to get new Virgin sim again from Virgin shop to transfer number.

Work and live in London and don't have any problems with a Virgin 4G sim. Excellent coverage and speed. Consistent with my EE work phone.

Totally unlimited. They now hoast all their own infrastructure and sent me a new SIM.
Great deal, I still have this but I've cancelled it for the 3 deal. Going around the north of scotland i was impressed with the signal coverage. Places I didn't get a signal, I doubt any provider would be much different.

I have heard about that. You cancel your contract and they give you a better deal to get you back. Seems like a good idea.
I am out of contract now with virgin mobile so on a month to month what number do u call to cancel to see if I get a new deal 🤪
As always with VM mobile deals on HUKD I post the trust pilot link so u can read first - uk.trustpilot.com/rev….uk

I work for one of the UKs phone providers and I’m not sure SIMO get affected my RPI
I wonder when the 120gb deal will be back. So regretting not going for and choosing the Three unlimited data instead. The Speeds are horrendous.
It maybe a 12 month contract but they always increase the price midway. Very annoying

I got both BT and EE Max sims and BT's speed is alot faster than EE Max.

It's the same network, either your phones are not the same or your network settings are wrong.

Afraid they are. I’m on the £20 unlimited data sim only and currently paying £20.66 after the last increase.

789 from your virgin mobile handset.
It's definitely true that virtual networks lose out during high usage times - usually when you need it most. But if you have a backup SIM, you're okay most of the time. I have a 3 PAYG as backup, but Tesco Mobile as primary. I have to say that its more common to hear Virgin users having problems on the EE network during high demand than other virtual mobile operators though and the problem is usually much more severe.
COLD I have unlimited everything with them for £20
One of the worst companies on the planet
