Just got myself a dual sim phone and was looking for cheap a 30-day sim when I stumbled across this beaut of a deal, the prices on these sims are far lower than any other 30-day rolling sims for what is offered. And even lower than some 12 month contracts.

Virgin Media use EE 'The UK's largest Network' with 99% coverage

As this is only a 30-Day rolling contract you can cancel at any time but they also allow you to switch between other tariffs i.e. £8 for 250 mins, Unlimited Texts, 1GB data to the £10 for 2500 mins, unlimited texts & 2GB data.

These rates used to only be available to existing customers but they are now available to everyone!

Quidco, too: cashback of the same value as the monthly deal you sign (e.g., choose £8 a month, get £ 8 cashback.

Caveats: no tethering and no capping.

Finally a contract for the nonexistent!
Been careful with these just put my tariff up £3 and last year £1.50. supposed to be inline with RPI but Virgin seem to make the rules up as they go.
The £10 a month tariff looks good
It's a actually a decent deal I'm looking at the 2500 mins 2GB data for £10 rolling 30day contract

My agreement with VM is unlim everything @ £7 / month on a 30day rolling arrangement. I suspect VM may be about to take advantage of the 30day term to increase the price.
Yes I am unlimited everything and was paying £9.50, but its £12.50 per month from july due to virgins recent round of price increases for existing customers.

Not yet only got the letter Friday and with the bank holiday not had much time. But I am interested to hear what they have to say about a 33% increase.
You have to weigh up the package not just the monthly cost. Virgins out of bundle minutes have just gone up from 40p per minute to 45p, there is no tethering allowed, no 4g, no free roaming overseas, you cannot cap your spend, no free wifi hotspots.....so have a look what others offer not just the price per month if some of these othes items interest you.

I tether continuously all day, every day. Typically exceed 50GB a month and I have never received any complaint from them. Are you sure it's not allowed?
£8.41 unlimited everything

you're either incredibly lucky or not being entirely truthful because tethering is NOT allowed on Virgin, and to go more than ten times over their fair use policy a month as well without any kind of network slow down is very hard to believe.

mistook this for 4G so not such a good deal, my contract was up with EE rang them quoted this deal was told that Virgin deal is 3G internet they offered me unlimited minutes texts & 2GB of 4G data for £9.99

Hmmm, that is interesting, I had absolutely no idea it wasn't allowed. I very much suspect they'll dish me a warning some time soon then! I seem to get a consistent 5/6 mbit connection which is 5 times faster than my abysmal ADSL (which is constantly dropping out, hence the tethering!).

They would, and should, have throttled you back a long time ago and would, and should, have severely restricted your service if any of this is true.

Having been with Virgin as long as I have, and spoken to as many people as I have in the company, I simply refuse to believe you hit 50gb a month on a 30 day sim only contract without any kind of consequence. sorry.
Cold, infinite minutes + texts for £1 on Life Mobile.
Tethering is not permitted with virgin and they throttle you on the unlimited data packages once you hit 3.5gb, the reality is if you tether a little your ok, if you only a few times a year exceed the 3.5gb cap you'll be ok as they check your average useage, so 6gb one month 3gb the next would be fine and a small amount of tethering, however using 50gb a month would have you thrown off the network as its clearly tethering which violates the t&cs, or at least i would expect them to drop you to 2g speeds.

Virgin do not automatically throttle you the minute you hit 3.5gb on the Unlimited package. As you rightly say, they check your average useage and look at how you got to 3.5gb and if it averages out over the month and goes over here and there, you'll be fine.

I've been on unlimited everything since last october and have exceeded the 3.5gb limit multiple times and have yet to be throttled.

Me too, was £5 last June, went up to £6.50 last July, still I thought that was excellent value for unlimited everything, now the £3 rise will come into effect in July of this year. I don't actually use the phone that much so might think of going back to pay as go or ask to drop the minutes etc to a level I can live with for no rise this year.

thats one of the many reasons I'm leaving I g them. you have to essentially cancel an old 30 rolling contract when they lower the price rather than VMob applying the cheaper rate automatically. Their customer service was the final nail in the coffin for me though.

Im thinking the same, i have unlimited everything but in reality use no more than 2gb per month data and a max 300 mins, with wifi at home and bt hot spots across the country my data usage has fallen about 60%, but now find myself paying more, then when i go abroad my unlimited package is no good and i have to buy a data bundle on top and pay for calls / texts.

So ill be looking for a cheaper package offering more of the things i need, rather than unlimited i am not getting the full benefit from.
Virgin Mobile AVOID AVOID AVOiD they have just sent me a letter dated May 2016 stating I will get a £3 per month price rise on each contract that I have with them, (it was a £1.50 per month rise this time last year) the policy at present is that they are trying to get rid of all of the loyal long term customers currently on their old 30 day unlimited data plans by rising the monthly price by more than 10 times RPI, greedy and frankly disgusting dispicable behaviour, I only use 4-6gb max a month anyway as they confirmed so why pick on me for an extra £3/month ??

They may as well raise it by £10 a month and see what happens, missed opportunity Virgin, naturally I called them and plead poverty but they said I was on an 'old' contract .... It's still running on 3G FFS so yes it is an old contract it's not even a 4G service, Virgin finished by telling me that Loyalty Discounts do not exist anymore...

So be warned if you commit to a 30 day VirginMobile contract the price could/will go up by whatever figure they decide within a few weeks or months....you can of course leave them if you want too though that's what they told me anyway....Nice!!

Guess it's time to move on for a better deal on my families phones, up your bum you last year 3G Virgin!!
Oh and if anyone says 4-6gb is high then that's because on my home network (also with Virgin) I only get between 8-20mb d/l speed at best and I'm paying for a 200mb virgin media BB service and our wifi drops out everyday now too due to "high utilisation" issues in my street/area which won't be resolved until the network is upgraded....so please pay your extra Virgin Mobile May 2016 £3 price increase to Virgin so I can have the network upgraded in my street, thank you.

Doesn't seem that long ago Virgin Mobile imposed something like £2 extra on my monthly contract. Thought that was rough at the time. Then last week got a letter saying the payments were going up by a further £3.
Phoned up to get my pack code. Told the increases was because of all the improvements they make. WHAT?
They wanted to see what might be a better contract for me and my usage but I said no thanks just give me the pac code. No 4g, no tethering, no inclusive calls and texts allowance when in Europe, still waiting for Apple iPhone visual voicemail they said was being implemented and available soon - 2 years ago... Ok rant over

Oh yeah it's a script I got the "improvements" line too, absolute bull **** imho, I sincerely hope that they lose a shed load of customers over this latest greedy and selfish price rise

I have a unlimited everything contract, but have been told data is capped at 3.5 gb and then it slows down. My deal is £15 a month and I'm thinking of changing it to the 3gb for £13 as that seems better value. I have been with VM for 15 years and I never seem to be able to negotiate very good deals!

There's a fair use policy of 3.5gb but that's not automatic. If you hammer your allowance, you likely will get slowed down but if you don't, you won't. I haven't been slowed down yet.
Same thing has happened on 2 of my contracts with them. Only applies to the Unlimited plans as it seems some people have been taking the Pi$$ and using 50gb a month!!

It seems they can't cap the usage, maybe because it comes straight from EE?????

So the only thing they can do it keep increasing the price in the hope everyone on that plans leaves.

My other plans are only 2500 mins, 2500 txts, 2.5gb data and they will only go up 9p in the price increase. So it's just the old Unlimited plans that get the £3 increase!
