Just for anyone interested I phoned EE and they offered

£17.99
unlimited texts
unlimited mins
30gb
apple music 6 months free
bt sport app 6 months free

I’ve just stayed with them for the extra 10gb less as it’s easier. I’ve been on a 2gb plan anyway so I’m sure I’ll cope!

Moving onto their own masts now, this is the big push to pay for it

own software not masts, the masts are still supposedly owned by EE unless something has changed, its been mentioned it uses the old T mobile systems, so they can fix things and offer their own deals. New sims coming for anyone who has a red sim, new ones are purple and so far no difference for us in service but others say they have had issues.

Virgin are saying new masts, I dunno the full facts as they have contract with BT till 2021 so maybe they mean expansion.

They were doing 40gb for £10 a couple of months ago.

They do, there is a deal for £5 i think but its absolute trash. 300mb Internet.

I'm on O2, and I have about £50 or so left to pay on my account.

Two questions, is virgin a good network signal wise, O2 has been pretty reliable for me interms of using 4g data (even tho I'm only on 500mb)

And if so how would I go about getting this deal and swapping my number, with my O2 contract still running for a few more months?

Can you Tether on Virgin? Someone told me you can't.

Question 1, I have been with O2 EE Vodafone and out of them EE was the best for me in London and surroundings and Virgin runs off EE till date have had no issues in my zones.

2, The deal should be live tonight and moved over by admin once notified and yes you can port number in a jiffy just get the PAC code from O2 do not cancel contract let Virgin handle that for you once you are ready.

Thats correct make sure you do not cancel just get the PAC and transfer PAC to Virgin for the number change and your previous provider will be notified.

Virgin Media is not owned by EE/T-Mobile in any way!.

They simply pay a continuous license fee to use a third-parties mobile masks, and that's it really ... (I recall that being specifically mentioned by Richard Branson/Virgin Media nearer the time/soon after of this 'arrangement' (that was like some 6+ year's ago or so?).

Much in the same vain/principle as the Channel 4 TV Channel is not owned in any way by ITV/ITV1 either!.

They too also use that other Companies third-parties TV mask's also, so ...

Advert confirming the deal - should go live sometime today

Least cost would be order the VM deal when offer ends on 31 Jan. Doesn't avoid remainder of your existing contract term being immediately due on use of PAC, but at least you shouldn't have to pay the VAT element on the remaining term.
