Maybe not the best day to post a phone deal using the EE network, but anyway...

This seems like a good deal, much cheaper than elsewhere, more data available as below

They also have,

Sony Xperia XA1 @ £16 for the base tariff
Sony Xperia X @£18 for base tariff.

Virgin uses roll over data and data for facebook , twitter, whats app is free.

I'm giving the Xperia X a try with 4GB @ £21 , the XZ looks like the best saving but i preferred the smaller phone

Also £60 quidco for the XZ , £45 for the others

I note how cold this has gone but i'm still unable to find a better deal, for any other these phones or ones of comparable spec.

If anyone wants to give me a clue where to find good contract deals these days, please do

I note that there are literally no recent deals for contracts lately - is it just that contracts are now considered bad value in general ? , as people tend to purchase a phone outright and get a sim only deal i guess.

It's all very odd lately. I am on a Voda SIMO tariff for successive years (all unlimited, spotify and 20GB for £19 pcm - the usual stuff) with the intention of negotiating to circa £14 pcm as is commonly found. However I happened to blag a XZ1 Compact for an additional £5 pcm, 32GB and bumping the contract to 24mo (from 12mo). No idea if that is generally possible on new contracts (and maybe goes some way to confirm your findings) but I was rather surprised when they agreed.

Potentially dislike of the phone itself or just Virgin in general? I like these xperias but I know Sony phones don't sit well with many people.
