Why? It's all about the value you get for the money. If a network would offer longer contracts for less money then I would take it. Why choose a £10 a month contract for 12 months if you can get the same for £5 on a 24 month and overall get twice the allowance?

My last o2 18 month cost me less than nothing and my current T-Mobile one on a 24 month works out at less than £2 a month.

I'm not saying the above deal is good, just that rubbishing longer contracts that are longer is not necessarily correct.

Basically, this guy is a troll with zero useful input and he has already been suspended before for it. If it isn't apple or sony, he just whines and spouts utter crap.

Anyway, £23.54*24 = £564.96 but it's available to new customers for £495 elsewhere (https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/samsung-galaxy-s2-12mth-contract-35pm-with-300mins-unlimited-texts-500mb-data-ha/962595) and has been available for £460 (https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/samsung-galaxy-s2-400-mins-any-network-anytime-1000-texts-1gb-data-30-month-12mo/971933) Albeit, these have less minutes, they are also for 12 months, leaving the resale value of the handset substantially higher as well as meaning you can keep up to date. Sorry OP, it's good but maybe not the best.

Hooray ! Finally somebody who didn't get out of bed the wrong side and intent on spending their day rubbishing others, I'm more than happy with what I've been offered, surely this does'nt make me a mug.........

Correct. The total cost of my 24 month contract is far cheaper than any 12 month contract available for the same phone so not only was it cheaper but I also have a tariff that will run the phone for an extra year too.
Some people on here are constantly chasing and paying a fortune for the best smartphone every year thus voting any 24 month contract cold. They seem to think that these phones will be no good and dated in 2 years time which I somehow doubt

Well done troll, your input has influenced people to make this deal freezing. In truth, its a decent deal, but not amazing. Had it been an 18 month contract it would have been a good deal or an absolutely amazing one for 12 months

This phone will be out of date in 12 months

Why would you want to get stuck with it for 2 years

I must have answered this question, that you constantly ask, so many times now and yet you still ask it.

Perhaps some of us have far greater priorities in life other than having the most up to date phone in their pocket, I'm sure this phone will still be capable to do what I need to do 2yrs down the line. Do you need to get out more Troll ??

Read a previous thread on this phone about people returning it due to the 'echo problem'

I seem to be having the same problem with HUKD; every time I see a non-iOS phone on here, I constantly see your name coming up and echoing the same crap.

Yeah, buy an iPhone 3GS on 18m contract instead. 2 years out of date now, 3.5 years out of date when the contract ends

100% agree mate ,Give me a longer contract for a better deal any day .
( I have this phone now after Iphone 3gs and think its much better than iphone anyday)

Trouble is on here is 90% of users are probably under 18 or under 12 and can't get a job ,let alone being accepted for a contract ,so quite a bit on envy i guess .

And a sure bet that very few of them will have the money to buy on PAYG as i don't thing "paper rounds" pay very much
