After failing to get more than £10 off my virgin media renewal. The operator asked me about my mobile. I explained I had 20gb from EE for £16 and she offered me the above deal. Also said I could have 2 more for my family.

They called me. There is a lot of them calling at the moment to get people to move to the new boxes and increase broadband speed. I only had the internet before she called but was paying £40 after my deal ended from last year. I have taken on the full house tv bundle and faster internet I'm now paying them £49 a month.

Been on a few times and really a matter of who you get through to, they also have 5Gb for £4 got three of those and one of these at the nd of October. Speeds are excellent around 40Mb around our way and porting was painless.

you also get rollover, so on this if you only use 20gb next month you will rollover 20.

£4 deal links, second one also includes the £10 offer from oct

That's a shame. This wasn't even a retention deal, I had intended to call EE and quote some of the other deals I had seen, but I nearly choked when she said 40GB and knew EE wouldn't match that so went with it.

Apparently you can call 0800 064 3837 Option 1 and they may agree if you have Virgin media or BB.

I called before and they basically told me it’s for selected customers, it’s a great deal so might have to ring again

30 day deal for a tenner, if not this will be more than many will need so I will say it beats yours
Tried this, got told the deals are on the website and that only. Been a customer since NTL -_-
I just called the only offer I got was 2,500 mins 6gb data for £6 when I said ok and even got her to repeat everything as I’m currently on a £5 month 1 gb deal she did credit check and said that’s £10 a month!! I said u offered it to me at £6 reply I’m sorry I over looked it then cut me off!! HOW RUDE
Was offered a mobile deal a couple of months back as part of a retention deal on my media package. However, even though I already have a mobile contract, it wasn’t offered as an upgrade, only as an additional contract. As you can imagine, I politely declined.(annoyed)
Virgin are making all the other networks look like a Joke when it comes to their generous sim deals.

I’ve just been pulling teeth with EE’s upgrade team today in a vain attempt to get a deal on a phone upgrade and a data SIM for my iPad which has just gone out of contract. In the end all I ended up getting off them was a PAC code to port my number.

I've been in the same situation, asked for complaints department and they told me there is no such a department at EE, then requested to speak to her boss and after 30 minutes managed to get a better deal.
Amazing deal!
If you can get these deals from their sales teams, good on you, but the way they've messed me around when I've been trying to join them makes me think that their customer service is going to be dire and that Virgin are best avoided!

The thing is, usually they're great. Pretty much every time I phone up, they initially try to fob me off with some ridiculously over priced upgrade deal but as soon as you remind them that there's a better deal than they're offering for new customers on their own website they match it no problem. Not this time. Honesty, I was well unimpressed with them today and their take it or leave it attitude regarding the phone, their offer for a tablet sim (tied to a 24 month contract too) was also a joke. Ended up with a rolling 30 day deal with twice the data for the same price on Virgin for the iPad and the phone, once I get a chance to order will be with either Virgin or ID. EE, more for less with everyone else

And I thougth Sky were tight......

Nope. Got offered the same deal but declined as I don't use over 8gb and would loose my 500mins to 0845/0870

You have to already have a loyalty rolling discount and they can leave it on there and just change the tariff.
They know full well the chances of you actually using anywhere near 40GB are slim, so they can dish out these amazing deals without fear but keep you as a customer. I would like to see someone regularly trying to use their full allowance of 40GB or more on unlimited.
I got the same deal as well two months ago ,,,, in fact they call me and offered me the 40gb deal

I got that one too. Well chuffed. Might go for this, even if I have to pay to get out of EE...
Can I just say be careful getting Virgin Mobile if you expect good customer service.Ive had to phone a few times and the latest call was a dozy.I phoned to complain about no service while on holiday, customer service operator told me that it was my own fault I should have taken the SIM card out on landing and put it back in after 10 minutes, thing is she was completely serious lol
Deals are all well and good but without good back up they're not worth the paper they're written on
