As per title. This deal is open to all - not just VM customers. Seems pretty good to me and could be a good option for those coming to the end of the EE 7Gb deal from 12 months ago, like myself.

Any quidco?
This looks like a good deal and I might use it. I've got a question for anyone currently on a virgin media sim contract - they say you can move your tariff up or down each month, but are these limited time extra data offers available to you?
This is a good deal.
We missed the last offer they had but this is just as good.

Some will say costumer service is bad but they are changing things, we have had 4 sims with them since October and they have been helpful, letting us upgrade and even calling us back. One thing I would say though is if you call them they often have better deals plus you might get a rolling contract which can be useful as officially they don’t allow tethering but you can though they are changing their sims over at the moment new customers get a purple sim as they are talking over much of the back office tasks EE who they run off use. What that means is according to customer service is better offers it could mean that they can then block tethering. Who know, rolling contract and you can move, fixed and you are tied in.
I got this offer in October and I’m very happy with the service and their customer service not that I need to phone them. The actual switch from o2 and keeping my old number was pretty smooth. The 4G access is great as I’m in the city but I’ve only not had 4G in an area only a couple of times. It means that I don’t need to sign into the free but weak WiFi at my gym etc. I can watch Netflix & Amazon Prime/Music without any worry at all.

I can highly recommend it.

6GB is more than enough for me and you can roll over 2GB of unused data each month so most months I have 8GB to use.

They have a phone app which can detail your usage which is updated every 15 mins apparently.

I have also tethered my MacBook without any penalty.

I have 2 virgin sims (wife and daughter) which run until June. 9 pounds each with 4gig data, 2500 minutes and unlimited texts.
I need more data on both sims. I wonder if virgin will offer me a better deal.
i need to cancel my id contract 8 pounds 5gb 500 minutes + 1000 texts. The signal is completely shi... but need 30 day notice. Does anyone know when this deal end?
Sadly Virgin would not mach the plusnet deal of 3.5gb, unlim texts and unlim minutes for £8 even though I had been paying them more for less. I cancelled and went with plusnet. Less data but more minutes and less cost. All use EE anyway. Thoroughly hacked off with Virgin who automatically increase prices each year and continuously offer better deals to new Customers. COLD from me

This. Virgin sells good deals then increase them above inflation a few months into the contract. They dont offer any retention deals to keep customers. They are worth a punt if you dont mind voting with your feet when they increase your tariff price.

Nope. Not on the online account. But i think you can phone them and state a deal you have seen and they will match it that way
£18 40GB amazing heat!
Are there any othet Sim Only providers that give you the option for 084, 087, 083 boosters eg EE add on £3 for 300 mins of 08 premium numbers. currenly on most networks phoning a 08 premium number costs 40p, hence the reason i stick to EE
+ EE only 4G Providers which have double speed compared to all others

What you said that’s incorrect as they are only allowed to increase by rate of inflation once a year. This is a standard increase and is built into all mobile contracts.
Good deal, good network coverage.

However if you have a problem in contract then terrible customer services. They deflect and lie and will not offer the minimal compensation if there is an issue but only after you complain. One customer services rep called me a mother f##ker stating they had terrible customer service .

I know they got bought out but it seems to be the mike Ashley school of business.

i know that, but after a few months into the contract, they increased my husband's tariff last year by 12.5% and you are welcome to look up inflation, but i can tell you, you will not find that inflation over the year to be any where near 12.5%!

now that you mention it, they are the equivalent of the sportsdirect chain of shops in customer service attitude. i have seen several virgin mobile deals alerted on hukd at the moment, they must be having a big sales campaign because all their existing customers are leaving due to the tariff increase and non existent customer service. worst than non existent, i would say more antagonising as not only don't they solve your issues, they make a point of winding you up in the process and treat you like an idiot.

Few months back there was a deal 10 pounds for 5gb 500 minutes and 1000 texts which I got it. When I called to cancel it they offer the same deal for 10 with 25 pound account credit so it works out to 8 pounds ish a month. Yet still 30 day contract
I swapped from ee to virgin almost a year ago - VERY HAPPY

I also swapped from EE to VM the other month. Absolutely no issues at all.

Tempted, are they really that bad? They can't be any worse than TalkTalk who I use for home BB and phone.

I have no issues with Virgin mobile but they stick to the published offers. EE make more effort to retain your business.

I use TalkTalk. Great price and always receive really good customer service.
I am currently on EE, can you move EE to Virgin if they run on the same network?I know you can’t move EE to EE. Also, I believe my phone is locked to EE, would the Virgin Sim work on it or should I pay the small fee to get it unlocked?

Get a payg sim to see if it would work although I believe it should work. As long as your out of contract then yes you can move to EE.

Where I'm concerned EE aren't interested in keeping a customer, cant fault the network nor the staff when I ring up.

i think it all depends on their situation year on year. i have been with them for a while and i used to get very good retention deals and they always called you back to try and give you a better offer after giving you the PAC code, but last year their attitude changed and they are no longer dishing out good retention deals.

they may no longer need to retain customers because they are getting lots of new ones or they already have a large enough customer base that they don't worry too much about people leaving. they may change their attitude when their customer base reduce, but until then, you may not see good retention deals any more from EE.

I've not really noticed much difference. VM well within tolerance of what I require - social media, emails general surfing etc. I've never used mobile data to stream movies/Netflix etc. so can't offer an opinion on whether it's suitable.

Thanks, just done a speed test on EE and its come back similar to your test, d/load 20.72 u/load 9.20 and a ping 36ms.
Not bad for 6gb data. But if you are more of a social media person then i reccomend getting the £10 "VOXI" package from vodafone with 2gb data but unlimited social media use (youtube, snapchat, etc)

There are some good deals on the link

I'd choose Plusnet as they dont raise your monthly price after a few months like the big companies

I'm on a £10 5gb plan which uses EE and its brilliant
