Hi Wendy, not sure about that, texted mine and it says delivered, but nothing about addict, if in doubt contact them here
virginmobile.com/vm/…013
Hope this helps.

Sounds good but it depends on the user. I mostly text & texts to other Virgin phones on my existing PAYG is only 3p per text & free at weekends to any network plus free voicemail

Worked for me , thanks.

How do you know if it's been activated?

I have just looked at the Virgin mobile site & see that my PAYG sim tarrif no longer exists though I am still paying the original tarrif which is still better than the new tarrifs.

Your deal certainly looks better for anyone who is on the Addict tarrif.

Not sure if this is a good deal as it says in the T&C's.....Original Pay As You Go customers will lose any top up and get rewards.Sounds like you will lose any existing credit but don't understand what the 'Rewards' will be.

Looks like Virgin try to lure ppl on older (better) terms into this and then hit them with price increases later. Typical VM scam.

Argh this site! 2nd attempt at posting this and if it fails this time I'm not typing it again.

Rewards for the original tariff include £10 off a new phone for every £100 spent on top-ups in the last two years:- virginmobile.com/vm/…076

There was also £10 free credit for every friend you introduce. maybe that's the credit you lose? virginmobile.com/vm/…077

If you read the terms of the simply8p offer I think it states by invitation only.

Data cost? Is it the same as before?

They texted back asking me to join addict??

Right, success......don't leave a gap between simply 8 or you get a message about addict, corrected my error and went online as the other email suggested and it said tarrif change in progress,
a couple of hours later it was all done, no loss of credit and tried the free minutes, they work too(only to virgin nos).
I don't really use the free £10 off phones any more as they conned me last year. I had a lot of credit and they offered me two phones, once one had been processed the system wiped my remaining credit and the operator just laughed and said something like," win some, lose some".......after about twenty calls I eventually got them to listen to the call and they sent me what I had been promised originally.
I think this offer is to try to lure back some of the thousands, if not millions of customers on payg that have left them lately.

contacted customer services they had never heard of this offer.

Hi

Virgin are starting to hide the web page

virginmobilepeople.com/sim…8p/

I was texted by Virgin to apply for this offer and I think it's only available if you’ve got a TV, Broadband and home phone package with them.

But maybe if you phone number is not registerd with Virgin they cannot find out if you have a TV, Home Phone, Broadband account with them.

what a bargain - normal calls are 25ppm
