Just call up Virgin media as an existing customer. they offered me TV mix package, broadband 100mb and telephone for £37 a month. No idea if that's a good deal but I thought I'd put it out there
Although there is a £20 set up fee

JUST HAD IT CONFIRMED THAT I GET 6 MONTH FREE NETFLIX TOO!!

Is this including line rental?

Yes
Should be no set up fee if you're an existing customer surely?

Thanks for letting us know, just on the phone with virgin at the moment.
Just be wary when they say that you don't have to pay 1st month and get billed 2nd month for x amount plus activation Few, what they neglect to tell you is that's month 1+month 2+activation fee
shouldn't this be in misc?

So this is probably a 6 month "new" customer offer.
I'm on 200meg, phone and TV Mix Party+ paying £38 just haggle with them.
I've got the super hub 3 and TiVo v6.
Loads of people have slated the SH3 but mines fine and the v6 box compared to the old is night and day.
better than the deal I got with them. hot
I have just phoned them as I am out of contract and it's gone up to £55/m - they offered me £40 to drop my TV package and denied all knowledge of the above 2 deals. I wonder whether the addition of the TV package may have made a difference to your package. I have ended up handing my notice in which is frustrating considering I have been with them for 5 years now and takes me having to phone every year to get a vaguely decent deal.

Mines £38.95 just double checked, thats 200 meg, phone and Tv Fun Mix. I get £10 loyality credit from them otherwise it would be £48.95
I got

The gentleman I spoke to was very sure that this was all untrue - Ha - well, I will just ring up again in a few days and see whether someone else can be al little more helpful. The variability in what's offered is amazing. I have been with them for 5 years and apparently my deal already availed the loyalty discount @Toon_army . Thanks all.
Paying £59 a mth for basic tv, 70mb, landline & free weekend calls, customer for 17yrs, phoned to change package wouldnt reduce it to less than £48 a month just updating router & TV box, said the offers are for new customers only, disinterested in 17yrs loyalty, think it's time to shop around for a new provider.

My bill went up £10 a few months ago as my loyalty went off! I rang up, spoke to some bloke who didn't care less and couldn't put my bill to what it was or re-add my loyality. I told him I might as well cancel, he said should I do it now? I said no give me a couple of days to think... Couple of days later I thought f#%k it I'm cancelling as he really pee'd me off. Dialed 150 and went through to the termination department and the woman couldn't of been more helpful, she gave me the v6 box for free with no install fee, the added my loyality again which she said shouldn't of been removed until June next year.
Current package: BB (50) only £18/mth
The best I could get was either:
(a) BB only £25
(b) BB (100) + Mix Bundle (don't watch much TV anyway) + landline (do not use it) + 6mths Netflix £28
(it works out 12x28 = £336 - 6x7.99 = £47.94 : total £288.06/12 = £24/mth
Therefore I took deal (b). v6 box will be sent out for install...
Im new with Virgin in to my second month and I get 109mb on the 100mb plan, and am looking forward to changing back to my previous provider.
The range of Virgin fiber is nowhere as strong as BT 76MB and i now need to look at wifi extenders just to get the whole house conected.
So take this into consideration when looking to go to Virgin.

Hiw did you get it for that price?
Last 18 month contact I took out with them, it was supposed to be £20 odd per month for first 12 months. It went up in month 2 so be very careful and check your bills. After 12 months, it doubled.

Good deal are you an existing customer or new
Exciting customer
Just called to try to renew my discounted rate. Was getting 50mg phone line and weekend calls, prior to increases for 26.99 including £10 loyalty discount. Spoke with them and best they could offer was £34 for 50mg or £37 for 100mg. Said was not happy as can get talk talk 76mg for £29.99 so he just said shall I cancel it for you with no further attempt at keeping my custom of 14 years. I am sick of the games that are played so I said yes so my 30 notice period is in and I am in the process of ordering my new line.

They will call you in a day or two... Just wait... If not and you are happy with Virgin go to one of their shops or other online under someone else's name.... Did that last Dec
I think you should have really haggled with them alot more. My dad was paying £50 a month for tv, phone (evening + weekends free) & up to 70mb broadband. We told them we were leaving. Gave our notice and they rang back 1 week later and offered the same package with 100mb internet instead for £29 a month.

Haggling doesn't seem to work with the retentions team and only with the outbound team - they get the freedom it seems to offer the discounts. Or as someone said it's to do with Quotas. I just got offered £28 to stay on my package through the outbound team.

Yeh, agreed. Even on MoneySavingExpert they recommend getting to the outbound retentions department. They're the ones with freedom.
Hoping i get a good deal, am on my last month and it was £35 now jumped to £50 odd possibly more once contract finishes. Used the online chat tool first and they could only do £48 for the 100mb package with basic free TV channels. Still too much, may ring them later.

Edit - got them down to £34 a month for the same deal OP has posted with no setup fee.

Hi did thy ring u bk with a good deal
Package was to go upto £55..mix tv, 100meg, weekend phone. (Was getting it for £33 due to welcome Discount and line rental saver). Got offered this for £48 so had to give in my notice. Got a call 2d later and after a short haggle down to £31..or £26 without TV. Took the former. Possibly could have haggled a bit longer but baby was a bit upset. However one thing which was completely denied was any offer to do with virgin mobile..so no £10 or £4 sim.(Can't understand why there is so much variability in the offers!)

the difficulty is getting through to the outbound team, they have to contact you. unless anyone knows a tactic to get transferred to them, or arrange a call back?

From past experience you just reject their offers unless they give you a good one and then go through with the cancellation. They normally will give you a call back or send you through to them straight away. Tip: don't cancel a week before your current deal finishes. Try cancelling or calling them 3-4 weeks in advance of your end date and you should get a call back.
