This deal is still available if you talk to the right person. Wanted to find out about the £6 sim for 300 mins and texts to see if can get for half price. He offered it to me for £4 then said 'if you're going to pay £4 then why not have this 5gb 4g data, unlt texts and 1,500 mins. I said my mum won't use that. He said the 300 mins would be the same price.

Got to be worth a crack surely

What about new customers?

I was a new customer just used my payasyougosim and they gave me another deal at first wouldn't give me this one. Then i phoned again asking about direct debit details and asked about this and he mentioned a phone with the 5gb one but you can get the 4gb one! Then said 'oh the 5gb one has come up!'

It seems to me to be a deal maybe only for PAC customers i'm not sure tbh. Virgin talking bullcrap but it does still exist! Now they are moving to their own network. Not sure whatbthat means. Think its not new masts just new equipment on the existing marks bit like local loop unbundling. Most MVNO's just rent the space as building a new network is very expensive. As three found out. But whats to stop MVNO's installing their own network on the masts of others.

Anyone can shed some light then please do. Spoke to Joel. I wonder if a sale is coming. There is deffo something going on
I got this deal at the second attempt first time was told I had to buy a phone contract as well

Can take a lot of patience, being transferred to diff depts, I used this to my advantage, after 2 or 3 I said I was offered this deal, "by who?" I don't know, spoke to so many of you, forgot the name.

Same question as the previous poster. Existing or new customer, what number did you call and did you ask for a specific department?

Phoned the 08000 number, opt 1 as op posted,,I am a virgin mob customer, but they did via my f-I-laws account(with his permission).as I has broadband with them,so I am paying him each month
Hi Guys, I got two 40GB deal Sims yesterday. I'm not a Virgin Media customer at all, just said my mother in law was offered it and can I take it. She did ask for her details but I don't know her address so couldn't give them. The girl on the phone just set me up as a new customer and I got the email confirmation firming its all good, Sims are on there way as well.
so they just said yes and then no as the offer is no longer on the system. anybody else get that?
I am with Virgin media, Virgin telephoned me offering me the Sim for £4, it is the best deal i have ever had, my daughter got my phone unlocked, i never realised that whatever phone company your with they can unlock your phone for free.

just got the same, they said that offered expired ages ago and wouldnt budge when I told them people had been offered it in the last few hours
Yep , gone .. apparently out bound only deal
called again, woman was very rude, said they had a bunch of calls quoting this offer which were excepted but management called a halt on it...........ie no longer valid!
Phoned them and 3x time told that im not eligible for this deal. Cold.
Update from me, just tried to get the 5GB deal for my Grandad in the last hour and they also told me it's now expired. I'm sure this happened previously though, might be worth trying again when a different shift is on as it's probably the same manager knocking it back.

Just tried. They insist this was a special promotion offered by sales team (between 21.11.17 and 11.12.17) if you also purchased a phone.
Got this deal the last time. Having problems with them. My callers get voice mail when they first call me. Only when they call me immediately after to they get through. Not getting much of a solution from VM so far.
So after over an hour on the phone..they'e refusing it as it' an "outbound" offer or some crap. Waste of my time tbh.
I’ve rung about 6 times since Saturday and everyone says this offer is expired and then offer same deal for £9, gonna try a few more times this week not giving in just yet

thats the spirit
Virgin Media customer. Rang 0800 064 3837, option 1. Spoke to a rep, obviously in a foreign call centre. I asked for this deal and we had a conversation about it. She misunderstood what I said and got the impression I had received a call from Virgin. Reading here that the offer was only available on outbound calls I just went along with it. I confirmed all the details many times (1500 minutes, 5GB etc). Received an email that the plan I signed up to for £4 was 1000 minutes and 1GB data. I recorded the conversation. I’ll call them again tomorrow night to try to fix it, I didn’t have enough time this evening to spend another 30 minutes on hold before they pick up the phone.

I guess that’s what you get when you service an english speaking population with crappy foreign call centres that don’t speak the lingo. Poor showing really when you consider you’re entering a legally binding contract.
That's the deal we were offered, they also said it is a 12 month minimum term. We declined it.
