Sky really needs to drop their 38mb service and move all their users to the 55/10 service.
Heat!

Do they have anything for old (6+ years old) customers?

just gave my 30 days notice to virgin. as I m paying way more and no better deal given.
thinking to rejoin with different name tomorrow, just wandering if it is better doing online directly or do it throught agents sitting in shopping centers.

AS existing customer the best deal I ve offered for same package was £29!!!

Don't VM impose on 6 month ban at that property to prevent people doing this ?

if you put in your cancelation, you have to actually cancel and have your account set up so they will call you, their retention department should call and offer you a discount, in my second year of discounts, first was our signing up year and had a discount. This years discount is double the previous year, 150Mb for £23.

not seeing that
could be regional offer?

I recently went to cancel and currently paying £30 a month for 200mb Gamer package and weekend phone line

Like Eslick I was offered 150mb which I was currently on for £24, £28 for 200mb and £30 for the full 200mb gamer.. I chose the gamer as internet was all over the place in the evenings with speed varies massively during peak times..

With 200mb Gamer there is no traffic management so get 200mb all the time plus I get 25mb upload.

Ordered and perfect timing as moving into new property next week. Thanks OP

My brother was them for a couple of years paying over £30 for the same deal. He cancelled and waited for their call back from their retention team. He told them that BT have better deals and they priced matched it for £17/month. Worth the punt.

I get a price hike every other month from VM... and they can change their rate anytime as per their terms... so no deal

get through to retentions threaten to leave. if your not happy with the op then hang up and call back until your satisfied with whom you are speaking to. oh I got 6 months Netflix for free too. I was on the phone for an hour with the girl but she was good

Existing customer offer I got was £16.99. Line rental 15.99 and Broadband £1 plus weekend calls.

I phoned today, 10 + years customer paying £32 for broadband only. Told them I was going to BT, after a bit of waffle about cable versus landline they reduced to £25 for 18 months
Took about 20 mins, 10 on hold

I got the code through chat online. £50 credit for new customers. They gave me code: 50extra

Other code on here as well VMVBOX50

There is no telephone line with this right..... so just broadband

How do i order online, I can't seem to do it..I only get the option to input my postcode and after that my details...and then I get the message that I will be contacted in 5 days

6 months, they told me today...

Have they finally dropped the need for phone line, bloody pointless these days!

I've been with VM 8yrs and tried several times to negotiate a decent package, and although I manage to get my bill knocked down a bit I don't get anywhere near what they're offering new customers. I know I'll be facing the usual price hike around Feb again so to those who have cancelled and signed up again... Is it that simple or are you embargoed for a minimum term?

Just ordered along with £50 credit (offsetting £14.99 installation fee) - currently sitting here tethering to my phone as my SKY BROADBAND IS DOWN AGAIN. Screw Sky.

Absolutely can't wait to leave Virgin, have had no more than 5mb between getting back from work and going to bed for months...it's supposed to be 100mb. Worst broadband I have ever had.

Good timing (for me anyway) as about to downgrade from tv/broadband package around £80pcm and looking at the 200mb package

can't add virgin to the the same house hold for 180 days after canceling

I had Virgin for a few years when I was in Uni. They kept increasing my bill by around £3 every so often. I started on a package which was about £23 and ended up paying around £33.50!! (Figures are rough estimates, but as you can see, it went up by half during the 2 year contract.)

IMHO, Virgin Media are the epitome of companies that lure people in with either great deals upfront or "edgy" marketing and then could not care less once you're signed up. I know because I've been screwed over by them twice, and didn't learn my lesson the first time.

Unfortunately they're the only cable company in my street. Don't be taken in if you can avoid it.

if i order this , can i start the broadband in january (when my 12 months with bt is finished) ?
