An interesting new deal, must book by end of today and travel this Sat or Sun only, can combine with Nectar 500 and 1000 bonus point offers which both happen to end today! Sounds like it will take place every Weds so worth waiting to book!

Struggling to find fares anywhere near a tenner each way York - Edinburgh for weekends in Feb and March...

My email says they're only available for this weekend (Sat 28th Jan / Sun 29th Jan).
Not sure if they'll do this every weekend or if this is just a one off.

Fair enough - not that clear on the booking page either...

Waiting for the West Coast sale. Cheapest tickets I found were at 3pm, so no good for a day trip!

Edinburgh to/from Newcastle showing as £10 each way not £5 as stated in their promotional page

Booked London instead - it's the Chinese New Year celebrations in London on Sunday. Hopefully will get the 1000 bonus Nectar points too

wich dates

it probably isn't worth waiting to book. the destinations will likely change every week so you'd probably end up paying more by waiting when you realise your destination isn't available.

Why would the destinations change? Virgin East Coast run a specific route, they don't suddenly decide to run trains in a completely different part of the country from one week to the next. Why not check the map below before you start making stupid comments?

Think you've misunderstood the comment. He/she means the weekly offer will be for different destinations, not that your actual booking will suddenly change.

I think you've misunderstood. If they run the sale again on their East Coast route then the destinations can't change. They operate fixed routes on train tracks!

Maybe there is some confusion over those example routes shown above? They are just examples and not the only journey options available. This sale applied across the entire East Coast route - you just had to click get deal and find out the price for your specific journey if not listed above.

I get you. I assumed offer was just for those routes listed.
