Include tethering?

the 3.5GB fair useage wont go very far with tethering even if it did.

I think as of january 2013 anyone before that date kept the tethering but after the date tethering was removed.

Ho yes there is lol
I just orderd this 10mins ago & P&P was supposed to be £0.99p for the delivery of the sim card,
But because Im a loyal customer and have 2 other mobile accounts with them,
He said I wouldn't have to pay the £0.99p P&P WOW

Nah, I switched to VM in August and I've got tethering included on my £15 pm unlimited 30-day rolling contract.

Tethering isnt strictly allowed on any packages. Like other netowrks, abuse of it could result in removal of data (see T&C)

Yours was for the VIP tariff without 08 numbers which has been posted before. This tariff only became available for sale today, however the VIP tariff is still great if you dont require 08 numbers

Yes, the heat system is completely broken and pointelss and its best to ignore it.
People make up their own rules about what it hot or not, I've seen many fantastic deals go minus.
I always look at the deal and not the temperature.

I just called them up on 789 just now and immediate switch to the £18 plan with 0800 0845 and 0870 included I am not a Virgin Media customer and currently on SIM Only VIP £15 30 days

Does calling 0800/0845/0870/0808 number come out of your main call allowance?

It doesnt as it has its own unlimited allowance, but as there arent 45000 minutes in a month you couldnt possibly use all of one allowance anyway

Incidentally, if you're a current VM mobile customer, you can just log into your account, select 'Change your bundle' and make the change yourself

Only 3.5GB? I don't understand how that is unlimited? Netflix will eat that up in max 2 days. Am I missing something here?

All good apart from 3.5gb that makes it useless.

I've just binned my virgin account the 3G was generally terrible in my town, it would barely ever load facebook so its worth checking your coverage (I live in Eastbourne)

The few times I was in london it was pretty quick though

This deal is better if you talk a LOT and only use the internet on your phone, I still think three is the better deal with the one plan at £18 month if you talk a lot less, and want unlimited data with tethering.

2,000 minutes
5,000 Three-to-Three minutes.
5,000 texts

every little helps!! lol

How can companies get away with saying they offer unlimited data, and then in the small print say it's a maximum of 3.5GB.

That is totally, and utterly, not unlimited. It's a blatant con.

Go to giffgaff. £12 a month for truly unlimited data.

It isnt a maximum of 3.5 GB

That is the fair usage policy. After that amount, the speed will be reduced from 12am until 12pm for the remainder of the month but you are still free to use it. Hope that clears it up

I tried GG, but unfortunately I need a network I can rely on. Too many dropped and missed calls with GG.

Like someone else mentioned, where you'll be using the phone makes one Hell of a difference.

Incidentally, if you go over the 'limit' in data, they slow you down for a bit. Others will just stop data, but VM won't.

For me, the biggest draw is the 08 number inclusion as I have WiFi at home, work, the pub, and the train inbetween.

We got the £15 unlimited SIM in Dec and tethering is still possible and has not incurred any extra charges outside the "unlimited" allowance

That's still limited. Not unlimited.

They might not be limiting the volume, but they are certainly limiting the quality.

Ah, but unlike GG, VM can afford to limit the 'quality'

You're kinda grasping here now mate. Best to move on, I feel.

Until GiffGaff decide you are using too much data and disable your data with no warning.
Only the 3 one plan is truly unlimited.

I beg to differ. I went through retentions only a month back and got this exact deal for £7/month. Slapped it into one of the Moto G's from Tesco.

I'm always amazed when I read stuff like this. I do a lot of internet on my phone and I don't often get past 200MB.

I had to restore my phone at work the other day and play downloaded all opf my apps again over 3g. I had 74 of them and it used less than 1Gb so 3.5Gb is hardly useless.

If you are a huge user, go to 3. If you want the best all round package then I believe this is it

I get 1200 minutes / Utd Texts / Utd Data for £7 a month was paying £5 for 150 Minutes / Utd Texts / 500Mb Data

Not unlimited. False advertising. Cold.

If this plan takes customers away from Three then I would think that Three would follow suit and and offer free 0870 etc. I would be tempted to go with this deal but I am not sure what download speeds would be like. At the moment I am getting a maximum of 29mbs on three and that is with 3g.
I vote hot.

not unlimited then is it

Is there any point of them listing the 45000 minute number as there's only ever a maximum of 44,460 minutes in a month? Unless someone is using wizardry.

As I'm sure you're aware, they use the speed of Usain Bolt in their products, which voids the formula d = rt and thus explains the discrepancy.

FYI http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/unlimited

IF you use an absurd amount of minutes and/or texts, or regularly call the 08 number, then I guess you could consider this the best deal on the market.

If you are a fairly average user then the one plan at £15, which includes tethering and is truly unlimited, and will upgrade to 4G for free (I regularly use over 30gb/month) is the better deal by far.

Here's one for you: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/contextomy

Have a good day, Sir

3.5GB is not fair usage for supposedly 'unlimited internet'. Three Mobile's FUP (or as they call it 'traffic management limit' or similar) is 1000GB - that is unlimited in the grand scheme of things!
