Sounds good, but I can't find the deal where you get the TV box basically for free.
Can see the bb and phone line for 44 s month.

I pay £49 for the 350mb broadband and phone only. This is a good deal to me.

Do you really need 350mb. I get vivid 100, can stream HD streams easily. Pay £30 a month and mix TV player.

I found vivid 100 rubbish for high quality streaming to be honest.

Quidco and topcashback normally good on these deals for paying out.
I went down the route of refer a friend though as we both got £50 each which at the time was better value.

Currently on 200mb, free weekend calls + medium player TV/tivo 6 box for £38pm.

Currently on vivid 200 + weekend calls + basic TV (sky movies) and v6 box for £29. Still, this is solid deal.

are there any deals just for BB and phone?

I found vivid 100 rubbish for high quality streaming to be honest.

Not sure how you came to that conclusion unless you were not receiving anything close to the quoted 100Mb downstream.
Netfilx recommend a 25Mb downlink for UHD streaming (4K), let alone the 5Mb for HD. Other providers will be similar.

It’s amazing how people think a 350Mb connection resolves their suggested issues. I reckon the majority who are sold this speed don’t even come close to saturating it. Most users probably wouldn’t have the hardware able to use it anyway and sit streaming over WiFi to their phone 6 metres from the access point.

It’s trial + luck. You can literally just call them and ask if they have any deals. Lots of people say to call retention’s threaten to quit and then wait for a call back but I find that unnecessary. You could also say you saw so and so deal or a colleague at work had said deal and you also want it. You could say you were talking to someone earlier that confirmed a deal for you but you were cut off or were too busy.

You might have to try multiple times also some people here have very bad to average deals so getting a better deal is easier. If you already have a good deal it will be much harder to get a better deal. Also you might find it cheaper to get more services.

For example I’ve got Vivid 350 BB Only for £34.25 and 5Gb (6Gb Max) + 1500 mins for £4. I don’t think I can get a better price on either of those but I had Vivid 100 and 200 before I got to 350.

If I have 50 mb Download and 10 mb upload, and you with 350mb download and say 20mb upload, at what speed will you download files from me, plus I have other people downloading from me too?

Think? Coz when you do a speed test it will show you have you D/U speed, but actually you hardly will get to download at those speeds.

Be warned if you need subtitles. The v6 box has awful subtitles that take up half the screen and use a fat font I last saw in the 90's.
And no you can't adjust the size either.
Virgin assumes that hard of hearing means hard of seeing.

Depends on how many devices you have connected and what they are doing just downloading from steam I get full speed 3 people streaming a Xbox downloading ect

I pay £33.50 for 2 X V6 boxes, basic TV and 100Mbps, and that is a brand new customer, they had to dig up my Turf to lay the cable. Thinking when my 12 months is up to upgrade the speed and see what I can get it for

Maybe the 100mb fluctuates depending on where you live. Where some will get near 100mb and others on vivid 100 get nothing close to 100mb.
It's that clever little words " up to 100mb"

For new customers they are offering 100mb for the price of 50mb on the website, £29 per month including phone line and Player TV. Potentially £80 Cashback from TopCashback too. Factor in the Cashback (if successful) and it would work out at £24 per month, pay line rental up from and save another £32 over the year (so £21.33 per month).

Not sure if it has been mentioned but I believe the 350mb is not throttled. I was on Vivid 200 Gaming broadband but package has now been replaced by Vivid 350.

So 350Mbps down and 20Mbps up

I used to have 100mb only but throttling was biggest issue.

Yeah it seems very final but they will eventually call within a few days. Don't worry too much about it, plenty of time for them to call you and beg you to stay. It's all a ploy by them to not give in to people who threaten to cancel and give in to those who do actually cancel.

I came to that conclusion by watching YouTube, through the latest virgin box and router, and having regular buffering, no external equipment involved. In tests I was getting 110 plus speeds. even 1080p 60fs was buffering.
