We all like a bit of old skool, especially playing classics such as Mario allstars, Donkey Kong Country, Killer Instinct, Pilotwings and Street Fighter 2. How about Sonic the Hedgehog from 1991 or the first Legend of Zelda on the original Nintendo Entertainment system? I've mentioned a few all time faves, i'm sure of it.

How would you like to play them RIGHT NOW?? You can for free!

Nothing to download, play the games as if you were playing a video, in realtime.

Supports saving/loading game state, so you can resume where you left off.

Seeing as this freebie is popular..

If you enjoy the experience, buy the game. there are plentiful of retro game packs available for game consoles, such as the Sega classics pack, they are dirt cheap and the original consoles/cartridges can be found on Ebay/classified websites or even on Steam (pc gaming client).

Good find (boted hot) except that it requires Java, which means I can't play it because I won't install Java.

Fair enough, Java is 100% safe on this website, Malwarebytes pro/nod 32 would alert me if anything dodgy was going on, I have realtime scanning enabled and scanned the website through Virustotal.com, showing as clean, so I allow it as an exception and decided to share it with you guys.

You're welcome! It's great to replay video games from so very long ago, even though it won't be the exact same experience as you had as a child, hopefully it will bring back some good memories.

Its the zero day attacks on Java (i.e. someone exploiting a bug that no-one else is aware of yet and therefore don't know to try and fix) that you can't really defend against, so I'd rather just not have it installed, even though the Java updates are frequent.
It does look very good, but am also surprised that they can use the original ROMs as they have done without the big N's lawyers coming after them (but perhaps they are just small fry).

Nice find!

Ah this reopened the whole Sega vs Nintendo debate.
I had both but Nintendo was by far the cooler console. Home alone was the best thing ever when I was about 6, that and "chuck rock" on the mega drive.

The trolls are out.. Is watching and playing Youtube music videos out … The trolls are out.. Is watching and playing Youtube music videos out loud for others to hear? You're not breaking any rules, you're not choosing to download anything, or sharing actual files with anybody for commercial purposes. These are old old games and most people who play them here will go on to buy them for their console for ease of access, the Devs will benefit eventuallyI don't see anything wrong with that, and I guess the other 73 (and counting) people who voted hot are Pirates?

I wouldnt say he is a troll for asking about the legality of this. Roms are an are of legal confusion. It does seem very strange for this to be called legal. Your analogy of "watching a youtube video out loud" is not the same. The equivalent of that is watching someone play these games. Not playing them yourself. The rule is you need to own the cartridge to play the game. Maybe its a grey area then streaming those games for people to play, and its fine, i dont know. He is certainly not a troll for questioning that though. The word troll is bandied about by ignorant people who dont know really how to use the word. It isnt meant for anyone who questions something or disagrees with an opinion. You said the people will buy their games on the console. So how do i get Supermario World, Donkey Kong Country etc on my 360 again ? Where do i buy those ? It looks a good site though, ill let the lawyers sort out if its legal or not. Probably not though, they are amassing a large set of SNES games and donations so i would say they are making some profit. If you stream a movie or tv show to a person even if you own the dvd then that is illegal to run a site that way. I dont really see any difference with this. The lad who got arrested for running TV Shack was earning £500,000 or something just pointing to links for shows. Dont think there isnt any money to be made doing this.

I guess everything you said is right, hopefully people do the right thing and decide not to part with any cash, however much they enjoy the experience, but it's still free

I completely agree. This 'troll' label is being thrown out far too often. Please remember guys, this word is meant for the sickest, most destructive members of our society.

awesome, thanks

thanks

Thanks!

The one game I loved and it seems no one else ever played was Probotector.

cheers. love a bit of retro.

How can it work on iPad or iPhone

How can it work on iPad or iPhone

Cannot unless you can find a way to get the java runtime working with it.

(Have to Jailbreak and in doing so you might as well use a proper emulator).

BSNES is 100% perfect emulation now (Needs PC decent specs though).

I haven't found a touchscreen Snes Emulator that is good enough to play Mario World on properly yet.

I have not bothered with Megadrive emulators in a long time (Last one I used was Kgen) because you can get most of the games for dirt cheap from Sega still. (Well the ones I wanted anyway).

I feel bad. I apologize for using the word "troll", a word i've not … I feel bad. I apologize for using the word "troll", a word i've not really used before, came to mind as I thought it was an intentional attack for no reason other than personal pleasure. Will ammend my comment and think before using the word again. On a lighter note, looks at the amount of people who have voted hot..

You cant beat the classics. People will most probably have more fun with these than their consoles

Ridiculous that this has been posted, think your a big man eh?

How the heck am I supposed to get my work done knowing I can just click and be playing Super Mario World? HOW?!!!!
