Good find. 30th June is a Monday so may not be good for most people

This is well worth a look if you've never done it before, make sure you check out the engine rooms as well

If you're intrigued by the engineering they do hold tours from time to time, it's well worth the price if you're into that sort of thing

towerbridge.org.uk/TBE…htm

Looks like the tours have finished for 2014, hopefully they'll hold more in 2015

Have a look if these are still there..

With a nickname like yours I'm guessing those are your "crops"!
And no, I won't water them for you on my way to the exhibition!

Absolutely not mine. I believe it is merely hemp thrown for the birds, as part of a protest for the legalization..

Very inconsiderate of them.
Why didn't they consider what day the 120th anniversary of its opening would fall on.
Those Victorians have no manners or forward thinking.

True, but I always marvel at the fact they built this with arches just wide enough to get a 3 lane motorway through

But they didn't quite allow enough room for the hard shoulders!!

Whilst a great deal, this is going to be absolutely rammed on the day, with no advance tickets as well.

Queueing at Edinburgh Castle on busy weekends such as Bank Holidays you expect anything up to an hour to get your ticket, I would dread to think with an offer such as this how long you would be queueing for.

Not to mention any visits inside the engine room, the queues for that.

Perhaps they can get the extended queue lines to venture onto the actual bridge itself and replicate a Edwardian era disaster with the bridge lifting times creating panic and ferver as people slide into the waters beneath in a titanic style rollercoaster.

What say we fix it!

shame for the date as my parents are up there day before for their 40th anniversary. heat added tho

24 bob

heat will try get there in time...

Have some heat. I have gone into Tower Bridge twice now (although on 2-4-1 days out deals not this cheaply)
I would always go on a weekday to avoid the crowds, although with this offer, I somehow doubt that it's the best strategy ;-)

The view from there is great and the exhibits are interesting... I would go there again. Not sure about getting there and queuing for that though (but I am off work that day as a very happy coincidence so maybe.....)

Thanks OP for sharing :-D

Close, it's twenty-four bob!

I'm only a simple Victorian urchin, but I funk there was 12 pennies in a shilling, I did, and no mistake.

There are only 5 pennies in a shilling, or a "bob" as the locals like to call 'em.
So therefore £1.20 equates to 24 bob, as others have pointed out, and no mistake me old china.
