Very odd. Got an email through saying 229.

£299.99 for me too. Getting chilly in here :whistling:

Not that I need another TV but yeah, wrong price.

Voted cold.

Sorry.

how do you get £229? is there something we don't see?

If they honor that email its a great deal
but they probably won't

Oh man £229.00 great bargain, but 299 on site. What gives?

Very odd. Got an email through saying 229.

Still get £299.99 even when entering the item number shown in the ad.:?

OP - have you actually seen the price on their site?

Very odd. Got an email through saying 229.

have you tried clicking on your emaol link?

Looks like I posted the deal too early. The bold red writing on the site played tricks on my eyes. I thought it matched with that of the email.

The link on the email takes me to the same page i posted.

I have emailed them asking what the crack is so as soon as i get a reply i shall let you know!

Original Poster

They even put the price in the subject line of the email!!!

I've checked my inbox, but no email like that. This is favouritism if you ask me:roll:

This is for 299.99 on the link you supplied...
Please change link, cheers

stop saying its 299.99 - we know that, lets see what ebuyer say!

Hope it not a SCAM YOUR PAYPAL / VISA email, ie like the banks one.
If you properties the link (on the email you gotten) and ensure it goes to ebuyer

I also got the £229 email but link goes to £299 page, thought maybe ex vat but then it would be £269 which I remeber these screens being offered at a while back on promotion so maybe a price drop at some point over the weekend.

Original Poster

As I said, the link in the email in the one in the post.

No Scam. Just dont know if the price is gonna come down yet!

remember the navigo scenario ?

299 here

Can someone confirm if this is really 229...i am just dying to hit that hot button.

Original Poster

OK,

Just phoned them up.

When I log in it comes up at that price + VAT. No-where on the email does it mention prices exclude VAT.

Sorry guys.

Admin can you delete the message?

even if that is ex VAT it doesn't add up
£229.28 + VAT (£40.12) = £269.40 (which is a reasonable price)
The ex VAT price for the £299.99 price is £255.31

Original Poster

Yeah I know. But when I log in it gives me the 269 price.

Perhaps they like me?

Original Poster

Just realised. It may be because its a business account?

Surely just sign up as a business account and get it at this price??

Original Poster

Changed the post to reflect the new price under business.

229 269
Still hot for me then

Has anyone who received the email contacted ebuyer?

Thought would try again

I tried the link but didn't work for 229.99 (just for 299.99 free delivery)
So closed explorer and reopened didn't work

Tried it on friends machine. didn't work.
Rebooted the computer, didn't work
Removed Firefox and installed IE7.
Tried a USB mouse, didn't work for 229 just for 299
Then
Checked the sky for any clouds (as here that effects it, but didn't work, link is for 299 not 229
phoned the misses at work, didn't work for her she asked her IT dept.
They tried it, didn't work for 229 just 299.
They told her ot update the drivers and power off the modem and check language settings to UK.
Didn't work, still 299.99 from link above.
Phoned BT (ISP) after 45 mins they could help.
When to dixons got a new computer and powered it on.
After putting all the setting to connect ot webless

STILL doesn't work.

Has anyone gotten this TV for 229.99

Im left handed, should try with me right..?

As mentioned above. 229 + VAT = £269

Was gonna sign up a business account eventhough I don't have a business. But the registration asks so many questions about my business so don't want to lie and make so many things up.

269 is hot!

So what would you say this is then? ;-)

far rather pay the extra £30 if i was in the market for a spare bedroom tv like this size

hotukdeals.com/ite…cd/

i also got this email, its £229 exc vat or £269 inc vat they also have a 47" vistron going for £550 odd exc vat - can't remember the exact amount. Also the Navigo (thank you HUKD) for £49.99 inc vat (exc little unit - far better than the rip-off evesham models i also purchased (thanks HUKD!))

remember these emails are intended for business users & for some strange reason ebuyer feels that ALL businesses are vat reg'd. so they give prices exc vat!

be careful with business accounts when buying stuff like this guys as u have very different rights, consumer rights are generally a lot more powerful than business ones aswell as warranty and statutory rights!

Yes (being a business) I am pretty sure you cannot return it under the distance selling regulation if you get one that you don't like, so with a high risk item like this Vistron LCD (I think a fair amount were returned as not fit for purpose) ... so basically avoid at all costs!!

Id say its £30.95 more and doesnt include a digital tv tuner!

PS: And only available instore, not for delivery!

Ordered mine last week for £269 - boxed was resealed I suspect a ebuyer reject, the boxed had a gaping hole too (ebuyer told me they test the TV before sending out - BULL S****).

Also missing remote and no manual.

Not much room to connect the HDMI cable or the VGA

In one word a pale of S****!
