is it any good???

Its ok but most dab radios are around this price now only thing is with it you get a humming noise if volume is on low

might get this! thanks!

I have taken lots of advice from this site, so as I have bought this product I felt it was time to share my thoughts.

I bought this for a present and am on the whole very happy with it. I think the recipient is too...!!!

The radio is a fairly light build, which you would probably expect, but it is not flimsy. The sound quality is good and it is very easy to use, a very important factor on this occasion. There are two alarms, which can be set as radio or buzz.

For me there are just two downsides. Firstly you cannot turn of the LCD backlight when the radio is in use. Obviously not an issue for non-bedroom use, but not ideal if you intend to use the radio to go to sleep/wake up to. Secondly (for me) the lowest volume setting is a little loud. Although if you are able to have some distance between yourself and the radio, this will not be a major issue.

As a small aside - The knob switches between tuning and volume, which can be annoying if you mean to turn the volume up but change station instead. Although I am sure you will soon get used to this.

Thankfully I paid £25, and having seen it I will most probably be getting myself one too.

Been this price for over a month!
More like...was £24.99 now £24.99.

Perhaps a bit of an ugly lump - not sure I'd want it in the bedroom.

Mind you, the same has been said of me a few times....

Good price though:)

I have the internet version. Whilst it does everything it is supposed to as a radio the build quality is rather poor and the remote 'unresponsive' at best.

There is better out there.....

reasonable find...

as mickmcd says there are many DABclock/radios around the £25mark
would recommend www.RicherSounds.com - worth a look if you're near a branchgot a nice little sony xdrs7 for £25 (originally 59.95, then 39.99, then they price matched PC World on same item at 24.99
Even gave me fiver cashback as part of their price beat guarantee !
Neat little item too! Missus is pleased.

Just come back from PCWorld, they have Talksport DAB Radio for £20.

Geezer im tempted on getting the internet version how fast is it to sync to channels etc i have the tevion internet radio but the interface is clumsy and slow.

This would depend on the quality of the signal and where you sited the radio in relation to your wireless source.

Mine is in my kitchen which is off my office where my wireless router is located. It syncs quite quickly is reciva enabled meaning you can set up a favourite station list via the web portal. I have never had any issues with the speed of the connection..

If the Internet version comes on at £25 then it would be worth considering, as I say the only thing that lets it down is the remote and build quality.

Why do all DAB radios look like they were designed in the eighties? I really don't get why they market these in this manner, it puts me off completly. And they wonder why this technology is not taken up..
