VITAMIX TNC £299.95 ! With free delivery! @ John lewis

I've been after one off these for a year now but couldn't justify over £450 for the blender. This is popped up on John Lewis for £299 which is a reasonable price for the king of blenders! This is a bgrade but comes with a 5 year warrantee which if good. After phoning John Lewis it seems this is the TNC version ie Total Nutrition Centre. John Lewis customers service was great as usual!

B grade stock (cosmetic apparantly)

Why would u spend sooo much on blender!!!

It's not just a blender............. but I wouldn't spend so much, my Nutribullet is about 99 per-cent as effective and cost a third of the price.

We have a nutribullet and it's ok for light use but has no chance with ice or nuts. The vitamix can make peanut butter with just nuts and no crap. I know it's a lot of money but if you cook a lot then it's a essential item. Plus a 5 year warrantee

Not caring about the cook facility within this, & not knowing how it compares to my existing kenwood chef glass blender on a 1400w machine which is multimodal I am wary & sceptical with regards to this item, anyone able to expand on the units merits beyond the marketing hyperbole?

It is a good price. Impressive machine. heat added

Most good restaurants use this machine and at Westfield Derby the smoothie company use this aswell as Starbucks and Costa. When this blends the end product is pure liquid and not grainy. I used my mums to make a ice cream and a sorbet in 3 minutes. I can make the finest garam massala with this and no other machine can do this including coffee grinders. Each to there own I guess

Fantastic price. I love my Vitamix. Peanut butter and coconut butters come out amazing!!

flawless

My Nutribullet has no problem with ice & nuts or any frozen fruit and veg etc so I don't know what you are doing with yours?

You try crushing your nuts and ice in a nutri bullet daily and see what happens. It's a 600 watt motor and this bad boy has a 1200rpm Infact it's actually 2 horse power. Oh and the nutri bullet jug is tiny. This is a 2 litre jug. Enough said

Don't forget you can make HOT soups in this...
I have the Chef Tony Type... and I won't be with out it as it does just about everything... perfectly
If it knew where the fridge was...it would make and cook things on it's own

Would this be ok for making a banana smoothie?

Watch one of the Costco VitaMix demonstrations on YouTube to gauge whether it will be of use to you.

The vitamix has one of the highest customer satisfaction ratings of any product. Just look online from purchasers and you will see how many say that once they buy one they regret not buying it sooner.

Update the title to say B Grade stock (probably non fault returns) or this is very misleading imo

"Please note: This item is B grade stock. Each unit may have slight cosmetic flaws, but it's sold fully operational and mechanically intact. It also carries the standard guarantee so you can buy with confidence."

Thanks for the salient info (Flawless & Rootbeer) ..hearing that (sic) makes alot more sense as to the units potential.

(nb, anyone ever sharpened up the blades on a well used Kenwood!? ...dremel rocks.

They had over 10 in stock when I last looked. Now they have all sold out.

They went quick.

Bother, oos!

It's not out of stock in white. Type in Vitamix in the search box on the Jihn Lewis website and it's the first on the list.

I just noticed these are refurbished from Vitamix themselves and come with new containers so all you might have is a slight scratch on the base unit. Excellent value and if it's the same as in the USA you can pay to extend the 5 year warranty via Vitamix.

I had purchased a Nutribullet for my daughter as I couldn't afford nearly £500 for a Vitamix. I ordered this yesterday and I know she will be thrilled as she always asks for a smoothie when she comes round here. Really pleased to hear that its refurbished from Vitamix

Wait... What? You want to spend £300 in order to make a banana smoothie? That's like buying a Ferrari to drive to the corner shop...

Thanks OP, got myself one in white.
Have wanted one for so long!
Heat added.

just seen a 2nd hand one sell on ebay for £360 mwhaha

Yes a good point is that with a VitaMix the resale value is high so I doubt you will lose much if you buy this and sell in the future.

Hope you all have fun with your new vitamix.

Absolutely not. Use a standard metal fork.

Out of stock

If you bother to read the posts you will see that the White one is still in stock.

m.johnlewis.com/mt/…t_2

I ordered a white one and it came yesterday. Everything brand new apart from the base motor which is in perfect condition and looks like new.

It was delivered by Hermes and it should have been signed for but they just left it in the porch. Less truthful people would say they didn't receive it and have a Vitamix for free!

Mines broken already... Motor burned out after about 20 minutes of total use!

Also, despite what they say, the jug wasn't new. In fact it was still very dirty.

Strange. And a hassle!

It will cut out if you are using the lower speeds for a while as the fan only kicks in on high. The newer model has the fan running constantly and no high switch.

It has cut out for a few hours now.... Don't think it's coming back! Had been on for a short time with something soft, so obviously something not right inside it.

Have you pressed the reset button on the bottom as it sounds like you have tripped the thermal cut out safety feature.

All sold out now on John Lewis so this can now be expired.

Blending too long at too low a speed setting will overheat the machine and cause the Automatic Overload Protection to turn the machine off. Use the High ( ) speed as often as possible to achieve the most uniform consistency. Blending on High ( ) speed also maximizes the motor’s cooling fan toavoid overheating.

White and Black OOS

Flippin 'eck, I looked at their website and it just said to wait. Didn't realise there was a button!

Thing was it was only quinoa pancake batter in there and it had only been running a few seconds. Doesn't seem to make sense that it would overheat that quickly!

I've had the same with mine. Cut out on its 2nd use. Pressed reset button, tried again, cut out again. Just on the phone to John Lewis, they have none left in stock

I've had to return it for a refund. Totally gutted!

Did you consider a warranty repair?

Contact Vitamix to have it repaired that's the whole point of the warranty. Don't return it.
