My mate has had this bike over everything in NI and The Gap in Dublin.
Zero issues in 18 months hard riding.

Looks alright for the price although the rear shock sounds to be quite poor from reading the user reviews. The spec is upto date with modern standards so could be a good entry level bike to either ride as it is or upgrade to better components over time. A 150mm dropper post is nice to see at this price point.

This looks like the Spiritual successor to the old Specialized FSR XC (Which used to use the prev Gen Stumpjumper frames)

Everything upgradable, and its basically a full-sus for 1K - Bargain.

This seems a solid deal. I was looking at some Giant full sus bikes for approx double this. Would I just be paying for the Giant name or are the component differences worth the extra?

I have the VR version of this bike from a year or two back. It's a good ride for the money. My only critiques are the low bottom bracket (I'm always having to watch out for pedal/crank strikes) and the cable routing for rear mech - it's very close to the chains and I have had some rub.

I'm still waiting for my Nucleus VRS to be delivered from 4 weeks ago. CRC customer service is shocking.
