Thought this was a pretty decent offering from Virgin. 100Mbps Fibre line and Phone line for £29 per month on a minimum 12 month contract (raising to £45 if you don't move / cancel).

Your hub and installation is free, however a £20 activation fee is applied to your first bill.

Offer expires 31st May

Have been with Virgin since ntl and am now considering leaving. Latest hub (superhub 3) has known issues especially for gamers. I'm on my third one

I also have the super hub 3, had 4 now and so many issues with it cutting out, stops working etc. Had months of issues with it and superslow internet. Never had an issue with super hub 2, stupidly accepted an upgrade.
This deal can normally be obtained for £20/month. In fact, I'm pretty sure it was in MSE's newsletter last week.
This deal is still active till tonight, same package but works out at around £16.50/month, gotta go through MSE and use code BRB745M i purchased it a few hours ago and it still worked.

Amazing deal that.
Can virgin work off open reach fttp? I'm not in a cable area but have fibre to the premises from bt and currently paying £60 for 330/50. I would definitely switch if it's possible.

Nope
Some advice that usually works with virgin online, put the order in the basket and go through the motions and right before you agree and place the order just close the browser and youll usually get a email regarding your basket and a £50 discount code. It's happened every time I've tested it in the past so try it.

separate question- slightly off topic

my virgin home phone and broadband contract is due to expire in two weeks can i keep my number and not be on any network? - (or alternative be on a really cheap home phone deal) new job means il be away for next six months (only home on weekends)!
Customer service is abysmal. Waiting on phone 23mins then they cut me off. 2nd time waiting 39mins then moved me to another department 28mins then eventually told me I wasn't with the bank I told them even though I was holding my debit card
I am halfway through my contract and on Wednesday I get my 4th so called super hub. My speed is average 6mb, yet I pay for 100mb !! STAY AWAY FROM VIRGIN, it's all promises yet they cannot deliver..
I am on my second day now with no internet !!!!
I've been with Virgin for over a year now and on their 100Mbps package. I get 110Mbps 24/7.

I'm paying more than this myself, but happy with the service. If you know someone with Virgin and they recommend you, you will also get a £50 credit on your first bill (if you are a new customer).
It’s not working anymore..!

You could transfer the number to a VOIP provider - I have never really looked into the details but they do accept landline transfers. Fees are involved - e.g. £20 to transfer in and £2 per month for Voipfone.

I got this deal on Saturday. Thanks!
Do not buy virgin media. I made terrible mistake of moving from sky to virgin. They did not port in my 20 year old number despite promising. They overcharge me every month, never give me deal monthly price. I have to phone them to get it corrected. Now their broadband also went offline twice in two months. On top of that their customer service is very rude and unfriendly

You'll need to keep the phone line at a minimum of you want to keep your number. Youth may be able to move your number to a different supplier

I don't think the problem is the super hub. Youth probably need an engineer out to sort out the line or power levels

Did you use the link i posted to? as the link at the top doesn't get you the discount which is why this deal is going cold.

Should look like this when it goes through

I just ordered this deal with an installation date of 29th May. I’m currently paying £11.50 for sky adsl broadband (getting max 5mb download) + £18.99 line rental, over £30 for a pile of poo. This deal gives me 100mb for £16.50 per month, bargain.
i just ordered , thanks for deal .

I'm afraid that this deal ended at midnight, and the MSE page no longer exists. Your best bet is to phone them up and ask why you don't see the £100 credit applied to your account (it maybe is applied but its just not showing for some reason). If it isn't applied then link them to --> THIS DEAL <-- not the one we are currently on, and state that you signed up for that deal through the MSE website while the deal was still active and that £100 credit should of been applied. Make it clear that you only signed up because the deal was good and that you have no intention of keeping the package if it doesn't come with the credit. Hopefully they'll honour it for you but its never a guarantee. If they don't you have every right to cancel the package, only problem being you would then need to go hunt another bargain. Good luck

I did exactly that and they gave my the 100credit on top of the 50 and sent it confirmation over email, but when i got the cantract through there is no mention of it, so back on the phone i went and after much explaining to a non english person they said i will have the 150, so i asked for a second confirmation email of this just to be extra safe but never recieved it, im wondering if i should just sign it and the one email i got should be enough in case they try not to honour it?

I would personally just because you have the email proof so should be easy now if any problems do arise. Glad you got it

What was the outcome? All sorted?
Just cancelled mine after a year. Shocking customer service all round, would give up access to internet if they were the only ISP.

First he said there was nothing wrong, and I said that was rubbish. The engineer got speeds of 109 where I was previously only getting only single number speeds.
After a few questions he did admit that he needed to tighten the external cable in the external box as it was a (little) loose.
So far was are a constant speed of 109 which is fantastic, so fingers crossed we are ok.
