I bought one for my soon to be 9-year old - I will have a play with it tonight and post my thoughts.

I just bought this today, have been looking for a cheap version of this type of video for awhile after a previous model died (which has now just started working again). It is great just to stuff it in your pocket to record odd stuff on family days out. The picture quality was always good during daylight hours but did show its limitations inside or late in the evening. But for £50 what do you expect.
I certainly dont use a video camara often enough to justify spending hundreds of pounds on them, and certainly dont go back to watch what i have recorded to often. And it sure beats the pants off my camara phone, but not our canon ixus 950 camara.
If you have young kids and want to record odd stuff this is perfect for the money.

I can confirm that this works fine with an 8GB SDHC card.

Cool thanks for that, seemed to get mixed messages between front of box and instruction booklet.
