Had 2 vivitar cameras in the past, worse cameras ever...

Why on earth did you get a second one if the first one was so bad?

Got 2 at the same time as it was a good deal if I was getting 2. Gave one as a birthday present, kept one. Never met again the birthday person:).
The ebay reviews are a bit off-putting (one good, with little info, one bad) but this may help - oh wait, they're not the right model....

Trying again: amazon.co.uk/Viv…3SG

Read these also easily worth a punt next best price on eBay is £50 +
Cheers. Ordered a pair. Been looking into getting a pair recently for bird sporting over a larger distance. These should provide a decent entry point.
I have Steiner Safari UltraSharp 10x26 but these would be good binos for a kiddie or a starter set. I've tried a few Chinese cheapie monoculars (one example) and one Enkeeo bino (easily found on Gearbest, Amazon and the like) and they're actually pretty decent, obviously I haven't tried this one.

I was thinking about buying binoculars today and these are cheap enough to be worth a gamble. Thanks OP!

Great point
Thanks OP,! Another impulse buy... Now need to go out a bit.
Reviews kind sht, rather save my 8 quid and get a kfc
They look very plasticy: are they actually all plastic (apart from the optics)? Hummm...
I ordered one of these Vivitar binoculars from Argos' eBay shop last week and it arrived broken with one of the main lenses detached and rattling about the binoculars' body!

I'm guessing that Argos has removed this item from their shops because they were experiencing a high percentage of returns due to a lack of quality control at Vivitar's suppliers end (hence the bargain price).

And now I have to waste my time dragging myself down to the Post Office to return these useless binoculars in the hope of getting a refund at some point in the future.

Hope things go better for other purchasers!
thanks bought one

fingers crossed its not broken
Saw these, considered posting but thought it may be unkind to fellow HUKDers. Well, be honest with yourself, they're not going to be good are they and poor bins are really horrible to use.

With respect, there's no way the OM-1050 were ever £200 anywhere else - not sure what Amazon UK were up to there. I saw an old Argos review suggesting these were £25.99 before, highest price £44.99 pricehistory.co.uk/pro…ars

The review you've posted above from Youtube is for the VIVLD1050, different binos, I assume bhphotovideo.com/c/p…tml

Had to see it second time to actually focus on what was being said about the Binoculars - Is it just me or is the reviewer HOT?
Took a punt, see what turns up.
Mine came today. I don't know if I miss read, but there was actually a second pair in the box (5x30). Had a little play with them and they seem decent for £8.

I second that - 2 pairs for under £8 with cases - bargain for taking out with the kids - doesn't matter if you lose/break them.
I also just got mine and was surprised to see a smaller second set in the box as well... Nice!
Hope I get two too
2 pairs arrived just now, both sets broken. Not worth £1 to be fair, weak plastic body and very poor build. If you didnt get any you didnt miss out.

What was the problem with yours, pal? I guess these were cheap because they have a high fault rate on this batch. Mine seem fine, sure the outer quality isn't best, but for a starter pair they ain't bad.
Mine arrived today. Wow, what a load of crap. Cheap and flimsy. Not worth 50p. Producing double visions on the main pair. I can see clearer and further than the smaller pair. Rubbish. Just applied for a refund.
