I went for this last time , took out the same contract but never got the cashback , and before you say it I did clear cookies and did everything right only for the cashback to get declined, so cold for me,
And please do not include it in the title `the cashback` as its never guaranteed till you get it

no worries mate, its gone now , I just hope people will think twice about this cashback

I got the cashback but feel ripped off by Vodafone - I moved to them in October 2011, changed my tariff online in July last year and was told it would be a new 12 month contract. Fair enough, means I have to stay up to July this year I thought. No, another 12 months added on to the first 12 months - I can't leave till October this year - some 15 months after they told me it would be a new 12 month contract.

Total con, come October I will be off and will never return.

i took same deal year ago and got all advertised cash back 120£

Other than their network being total rubbish, it's a good deal!

I've done this two years running and received cash back without any problems.

Did you query why it had been declined? You didn't try to use the 9SIMO code and get cashback too did you?

most companies are like that, take car insurance, they auto-renew policies unless you cancel directly. my vodafone contract is up next month (have given 30days notice) and they rang me 3months ago (as they have done for the last 4 years) to get me to extend, but as i am wise to their sneaky sales tactics, i asked the advisor was it and additional 12mth contract, on top of my remaining 3 months contract, with no discount?...poor thing started stuttering and then said yes...i just said i wasn't interested. you could have ended your contract early if you complained that the contract wasn't correctly described to you, plus there is a 7day cooling off period they HAVE to give

"When it comes to any contract with us even if it was taken over the phone, online or in store you will still get a 7 day cooling off period."

I've done this with Voda for 2 years and not had a big problem. Last year my cashback didn't track at the correct amount so I queried it - but I also gave them a tonne of screenshots I'd taken at the same time as the order (including the order number matching my confirmation email etc) and it was paid pretty quickly - first time I've ever had any issue with Quidco.

Also - you can keep your number. I just change my current contract to PAYG and then ask Voda to port that number to the new contract I've just taken out - 'internal porting' I think they term it. Whatever it's called, it works just fine.

thank's for the info. i did think I could keep my number, but even though I'm very selective on who I give my number to, i still end up getting marketing, PPI and after sales calls, so a new number means a reduction in phone calls and messages.

Yep, I'm sure it was my naivety rather than any fraud on Vodafone's side. I thought being told the new deal in July was a 12 month contract would mean it would end in July the following year. How it can mean October is difficult to imagine but they have me till then and there's nothing I can do

There's already a comprehensive thread on simo contracts.

How interesting.

It's more interesting than reading about your experience of getting stung by Vodafone, trust me.

Then why are you

Hahaha

rubbish network, cannot get decend speed net in central london. . .

done this twice before for £150 cashback, plus EA discount, on a Virgin 30 day, but reception is not as good as Vodafone for me, so probably back to Vodafone.
