I thought that this looked like a very good specification for a phone around the £30 mark all in.

Also includes HSDPA data which would allow very quick browsing.

The Vodafone 547 has a large, 2.8” touchscreen that brings your mobile world to life. It lets you see everything clearly – from simple emails to web pages.

The 547 is built for things like music, video, games and more. Get to your favourite songs easily. Enjoy amusing clips on YouTube. Be entertained – anywhere.

Want the web without the wait? The Opera Mini web browser comes built into your Vodafone 547, so web pages load quicker. Sharing photos taken with the 547’s two megapixel camera is fast too. Upload them in no time to your favourite social networking sites – then let your friends and family enjoy and comment on them.

Not bad for £25.

And since it's a ZTE manufactured model, unlocking will be pennies on a certain online auction site.
Or even free by downloading a calculator if the calcs cover this model now.

Not being funny, but for £25 per month I'd want a better phone than that..

Who said contract?.

I get 2 numbers from the calculator, which one do I use or do I use both. Thanks

I don't get why this isn't hotter...

No 3g :P

For £25 quid delivered what do you want!

Its HSDPA so its going to be pretty quick at loading web pages, and its easily unlocked for nowt using the link in this thread allowing you to use any sim from any network in it!

I'm guessing from the spec\looks that its the same phone as the orange miami\t-mobile vairy 2? I had the t-mobile version for a few weeks and its a good phone. Touchscreens good (rubbish in strong sun light), supports imap email, browsings good and highly receommended for a sub £30 handset.

ordered one. hot

any wi-fi?

Every other site i've looked at say its 2G not HSDPA (3G)

Vodafone say this phone doesn't have 3G but they state it does have HSDPA, I don't see how it can support HSDPA and not 3G. GSMArena says this phone doesn't support 3G/HSDPA.

Here's the manual (see link below) 3G and HSDPA capability are NOT mentioned in the manual. I must therefore assume that this phone doesn't support HSDPA

devicehelp.vodafone.co.uk/fil…pdf

The clue is page 17 where it shows the interface icons. There is one for Edge but not one for HSDPA or 3G.

If you ordered this phone and were expecting HSDPA you can send it back as Vodafone have incorrectly advertised the feature on this phone.

very tempted as this price as I'm stuck with my (fairly knackered) Nokia 5800 until end of contract in January.
Only thing stopping me is lack of wi-fi.

And before anyone says, I'm not complaining coz it's a great price.

Thanks for the unlock link too, just in case I do get it

A flash would have been nice as well but at £25 it's worth buying a box or 2 of matches!!!

Heated e wee bit more, nice one OP!

Great deal for only 30

Great deal, £25 (fingers crossed quidco tracks) for a touch screen phone is brilliant.
Hot deal!
Will be a great back up phone:D

I am going to the USA shortly and the phone I am currently using won't work over there. Apparently I need a 'tri-band' phone. Would this phone suit my needs. Sorry if its a dumb question but honestly I am not technically minded at all. Thank you. Sally

The specification on the Vodafone site says that it has "built in GPS navigation"

Prufrock

Hmmm...that's odd. If you look at the video on the unlocking page, it … Hmmm...that's odd. If you look at the video on the unlocking page, it clearly shows "G" showing up on the phone when he's put a T-Mobile sim in it. Video's here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zv_KGCtNRKs&feature=player_embeddedWatch at the end, at around 1m 25 seconds...definitely showing a 3G connection on T-Mobile.

Could be for GPRS?

GPRS, not GPS.

Tried again and it went thru

Cheers!

Great replacement for this heap of junk Blackberry Storm that I would otherwise be stuck with for the next 12 months.

Be aware this phone won't do everything a girlfriend can do.

gd price

Though I am buying it but you can use following code to get 10% off.
Code: nation10

So cost will be £27 (-£5 Quidco) = £22 effectively

nation10 for 10% off

I've tried three times, but just doesn't work.

Tri and dual band are in reference to what frequencies of network your phone is capable off. Dual is mainly Europe, Tri includes the USA and quad will help with some of Asia.

This phone seems to cover GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900mhz so you should be in luck! It'll work pretty much worldwide

ok, so vodafones web designer (or whoever updates their site) needs a kick in the ass. It looks like the phones quad band but it then states triband, It says no bluetooth and then under features it has bluetooth. Really bad on vodafones behalf but seems like a fantastic deal.

PS the reviews say its a 2mpxl camera instead of just a 1.3!
