If anyone is unsure about how reliable they are for sending cashback by redemption I have a contract with fonehouse on Vodafone and they send my cashback with in about 2-3 days of me sending my Vodafone bill in they're actually pretty good
This is a great deal and still one of the best out there for unlimited data. I posted the same deal last week and it was voted cold, not sure why though. Heat added

Everything is done online right?

Yes is all you do is download your bill from Vodafone and send them it on the allocated months, I just set a calender alert on my bill date on months 3,5,7,9,12 as I'm on a 12 month contract, it will be different for 18 month contracts though

They're not great at giving you the details to redeem your cashback but it will tell you on their website the months you need to send your bill to get cashback.

Obviously they are not going to make it easy by sending you email reminders or anything to send them your bill to claim the cashback but just set yourself reminders on the months you need to send them it.

Sounds good. How many days do they allow for you to upload the bill? Any cut off for when you can claim?

I'm just waiting for my current contract to run down to get this

I think it's 60 days so you've basically got two months to send them it and by that time you'll be entitled to your next cashback if you forget but just make sure you log into their website and upload it only takes a few minutes I suppose

Yea I wouldn't like to do that the cost of royal mail recorded delivery these days lol

Well I must say I've had the cash back twice so far on month 3 & 5 and I received the first one after 2 days and the second one after 3 days but I can't say for sure if it would be the same for someone else I suppose it may depend on the back they're with maybe :/
Yeah I thought this was a great deal until Vodafone tools me I was getting GOOD speed . 2-3mb is not good speed, compared to PAYG 15mb. It got messy and they took two months to cancel my contract. Still waiting for the refund...

Did you take out the uncapped sim deal? They have 2mb and 10mb speed caps on some of their sim deals

Yes wads is right they have different speed caps and in my opinion they're not too clear on it when you sign up you just need to look at the small print before you sign up to a contract and make sure you're getting what you want.

In my experience in my area I've been with three, o2 & Vodafone, three was so bad with signal most calls I got went straight to voice mail.

O2 had a good signal but where not very competitive on deal and Vodafone have been great on signal and data speeds.

I've been with all of them at some point and found three to be the worst in terms of signal and data speeds. Was really tempted to try them out but not worth it after my previous experience a year ago.
I'm currently with Virgin with 100gb, 5000mins and unlimited texts. Speeds are great. After. Cashback it worked out less than £10. They couldn't offer me anything decent so will have to jump ship.

The website gives you an example on a 24 contract, as does the confirmation email. However my contract is 12 months. You're right, they don't make it easy. You gotta ring em.

I was very unhappy with Virgin(on unlimited data) . Even thought my phone was defective. Since moved to Vodafone much better. Three is very good as well. EE Essentials / Virgin / ASDA / Plusnet are the worst due to blocked bands and low priority on EE network where you are in competition with EE 5G , EE Max and BT which have higher priority on EE network and all bands available. So stay away from Virgin if you live in big city . I guess it is fine in non congested country side.

It's a good deal, the only reason I can think that's been voted down its that it was previously posted mate!
Good deal... Just missing 5g phone... A bit expensive ATM, due to only fewer models available in the market.
I missed one months cashback because I got the month wrong. I guess that was my fault though...

Cold because speeds are capped unlike the 20gb etc packages

Strange I had the opposite experience with Virgin I live in East London and work in Central London but mobile data speeds have been around 50-75mb when I've checked. Whereas for Three it was awfully slow most of the time, eg less than 1mb at times.
Pot luck maybe?

Very straight forward to do online and payment direct into your bank account within 3 days and with a generous 60 day window.

Could be but I was with them for 4 months after which I got them to refund me for unreliable service so can't complain
Does anyone know if Vodafone have a "test" sim like 3 has. So one that's free but has a few hundred meg of data to test with.

Yes you can order a free SIM from them to test the data speed but I think they only give you about 50mb
I have the same deal which was posted a few months ago. This deal is there from long time. I am using this as a home broadband. I was paying £18 to talk talk and speed wasn't very good, but didn't complain to them I knew the company is small and they won't do anything.

I also bought Huawei b525 for this. Getting very good speed and service.

Yes. In huawei b525 there is port for phone line. You can plug a phone there to use for calls . Or maybe texts

This is interesting, I wonder how this will compete with my Virgin 200MB service. How much speed do you receive this and is the speed sustained, I understand it is unlimited but what download speed do you get with this , my virgin gives me 25MB/s sustained. Is it possible with this?

Virgin 200MB is a bit massive with 25MB/s speed, the speed i am getting is nearly 7-8 MB/s, think this is enough for us `a family of 5, i have tried playing youtube videos on 5 devices and there was no loss of data during that. if you think you have big family or have too many devices like PS4 TVs laptops etc then think before you go for this. but it all depends on the location same like virgin if you are near mast you will get good speed.
In terms of a router i will suggest a router higher then Huawei B525 because it has to be switched on 24/7,
or this one

amazon.co.uk/dp/…_it

but don't go for mobile routers : ) they are small and have limited capabilities.

We are still in first phase of 5G it will take a year to get full benefits of 5G, there are also not many 5G routers available.

Thanks for the detailed response, I wasnt clear enough with my response, i was referring to Virgin Home broadband. Do you have any idea of potential speed on 4G if i am unable to receive 5G in my area

It will depend on your area and the Vodafone signal strength . At home I get 30 to 40 Mbps but at work I was getting over 100. However 3 is useless in my area and I was getting 2-3 Mbps
Does anyone have any experience with porting your number in with one of these deals - do fonehouse honour the cashback/how is it done?
