Hoping for something like this in 5 months.Hot!

It's getting silly with these Vody deals now - it's like they're trying to tempt me to break contract

I'm up for Three renewal in September and I WON'T be... I've had enough of them. This Vodafone deal, and the ones similar, are perfect for me.

I guarantee you these deals won't be around when you need one

Hoping that :
1. They sort the signal in my area - only getting 2Mbps now
2. If 1 is sorted, that it's still available in August
I'm guessing that this would also get the £2 discount on the vodafone broadband thus making the broadband £20.95 which would be a bargain
Seems great deal, is this speed limited? I’m also assuming I could use in my 4g phone? Thanks

No but if you tell people you've got 5G you might get burned at the stake.

I have a 5g phone and can confirm it gave me Corona.

(Just kidding ofc)
£20 quid a month isn't bad for that amount of data. I doubt i'd pass the credit check though ..

I'm not prying into your personal affairs, but do you know why you wouldn't pass? I pride myself in my credit history/score etc. but I'm told that can sometimes count for nothing when it comes to passing even this simplest credit checks, like for a mobile contract... And when you fail a check, it gets recorded, affecting your future chances of borrowing

Back to this deal, has anyone used these guys before? Simple process for the cashback claim? The printing and sending off bills might be a deal breaker for me if I'm honest - I'd rather get less CB and just be able to email/submit online.

Interesting. What if I already have Vodafone broadband? Which I do

I might have a hypathetical Live Chat with them later and see if I'm eligable?

The fonehouse deal with electronic submission at the same price is still available.

How does the cashback work? You have to send your bills every month or quarter and you're paid accordingly?

To cut a very long story short, it's likely down to how I handled my finances when I was younger and stupider

I've got a number of defaults on my credit file that are still years away from dropping off so that'll likely be the reason more than anything.

I would much rather submit bill electronicallly than go through the hassle of posting bills and the expense of a recorded delivery method to ensure it gets there.
Don't get locked in Vodafone .... download is useless... completely unusable ! 5bar of 4G one min 35meg and drops down to 0.1meg . I'm now stuck in a 12 month contract ☹

Just need a deal like this in a couple of months when my current Vodafone Fonehouse deal expires. I have essentially the same deal but for only 20GB.
Just what we were waiting for, thanks OP! Ordered. For those asking, because of Covid you claim your Cashback via email instead of post, just attach the PDF of your bill.
Millsy106/06/2020 12:02

Lucky you! The speed for today[Image]

Something is to do with the frequency / mast its connected. Your last speed test gives two different results in duration of 1 minute.

Can you restart the phone and give a try, sometimes it connects back to other mast.

We will see .

Do a check on your postcode, zoom out few times slowly and see if showing any issues to your local mast.

I had 3 weeks ago but was sorted same say as if it was some planned maintenance.
you have to send copies of bill by mail, old method
How long do we think this deal will be active for? As my current contract is up on 26th June and BT are trying to charge me £15 to get out of it if I use my PAC code today

The only threat to you is you forget to cancel it and they start billing you £1/month for this crap :/ It's just a nefarious way for them to squeeze an extra £1 out of you

I port in/out every year on 4 contracts as retentions never get close to these deals. Having to reset my bars and turn off Secure Ne is probably the biggest hassle in that process. Their system is unfortunately crap. Usually get errors, or worse still it says it will set the bar/disable Secure Ne, but never does. A few years ago, I disabled Secure Ne, but it didn't take effect on my Dad's line. He didnt notice, but luckily I did when filing cashback claim for him and they agreed to refund most of it (principle more than the ~£6). Now I just call them and double check its all done.

This is my bar/cap checklist in case it helps:

Disable Secure Net

Spend Manager (I set it to £10 in case I need to make an international call).

50 Euro EU RoW data spend cap (probably redundant, but doesnt hurt)

Wifi & 4G calling

Premium Rate info Text Bar (if you have to stop a service, you have to disable this, so can be annoying. But prevents accidentally subscribing to a service (kids randomly tapping crap)).

Premium rate calls & txts (not sure why they dont just have one bar for everything, but I set this and the one above just in case).

Charge to Bill

Sending Picture messages (if they dont go over iMessage, prevents them being sent as picture message which costs).

Making International calls (don't set this if you have included EU minutes, not on this plan but you get them on the Entertainment plans).

They used to have a Data bar (out of allowance), which prevented charges if you went over your data allowance, but they've dropped that now. Apparently because they think spend manager alone is enough. But ofcourse, some of us may need to make the odd international call whilst still ensuring our phone doesnt go nuts and rack up data charges :/

Also they have a Video call bar, but that doesnt work, apparently they no longer offer video calling :/

Anyway, hope that helps.
