just be aware that international calls and international roaming is not available on this package.
£6 could be a sweet deal just for veryme if they keep the standard of offers up...
poss £15 TCB
Not as good as the previous 6gb deal though in September. That was close to £6 I think
Nice to see this deal getting some heat, when I voted was cold. I pay £12 for a similar deal with O2, so to me this is a good deal. My contract is not great, but O2 gives me the best signal and they do not have often good deals.
Spoke to sales to get the 5gb for £8, could not do nothing. Tempted to do tcb to bring it down.

It doesn't seem like it:-
No discounts, promotions, offers, or flexible upgrades are compatible with Vodafone Basics. This includes the Vodafone Advantage Scheme.

That's most likely Vodafone promotions/benefits.

Heads up: Quidco £20 for Basics Sim plans

Sky use O2 network. Their rates all include unlimited mins & texts with 12 mth contract.

Thanks, I will keep an eye, as my contract with O2 ended 2 weeks ago anyway. Currently the have a plan for £6 for 3GB which is a bit too low and the next one is £12 for 9GB. While the £12 is the same price as mine, it is better, as I only have 6GB, however, I do not need more, so no point to change it. But I will keep an eye on them, thanks.
Tesco uses O2 as well. They do have a 5GB 5000 min for £10 which is a better deal than mine and 5000 min are sufficient for me, also a £12 deal for 10GB data and 5000 minutes. So, Tesco seems to be an option too.

I am a bit reluctant to go with 3rd party companies. I had EE and was OK, i changed to Virgin who uses/used EE network and had no signal with them...dont want to end up in the same position.

Sky sometimes give a 50% discount on a SIM. After your first bill you can change tariff online and keep the same % discount. You don't pay for a SIM until you activate it. I'm now on 3Gb for £3 and my sister on 10Gb for £5. They also have a form of rollover.
Does anyone know how much it costs per MB if you go over the 5GB limit?
any quidco?
Thanks OP. Just spoke to the team as it was a basic sim with restrictions such as no roaming no sms etc and they were happy to give me the same offer on my current normal sim only plan. E

Can anyone confirm if this includes access to VeryMe?

I naturally assumed it would, but now will wait till someone replies, in case!
veryme is available to Vodafone payg & mobile contract customers, so there shouldn't be any reason why not... but the app isn't completely reliable, so if it errors you can't rely on customer services to do anything. £6 minus Quidco = £4.75 per month, so even half of that would be covered by a Costa offer... I might dive in and use it as an occasional sim for the iPad
Not available to existing customers!
Voda customer services insisted if i signed for this deal they would convert my accounts (3) to pay as you go so that i wouldnt be able to keep my numbers.
Sharp practice if ever i heard it and has resulted in me leaving voda after 20 years. pac codes recieved
Going to transfer to another provider and keep my numbers..simple

edit. now moved all three to plusnet, @ £8.00 per month

Also been with Vodafone since 2000 with two lines offered me 4gb £7:70 each line and would not honour this deal deal at £8. Received pac codes looking at other providers as no loyalty to existing customer.
