In August they had the best deal:Vodafone Broadband Superfast 2 (63mbps) at £20 /month (regardless if you do have mobile account with them or not) + £100 Amazon voucher + Echo Plus (2nd Gen) (£128.94).

So I have managed to sell the Echo Plus for £100 and end up great deal and very fast broadband with decent support(tried them as I wanted to use my own router).

Everyone’s mileage will vary but Vodafone have been by far worst the provider I’ve ever had. Huge issues with network congestion resulting in unusable speeds. No support or resolution from Vodafone. Currently in the process of leaving and will happily pay a few pounds more for a better provider

I've been tempted for a while because of the price, but the bad reviews are putting me off.I'm out of contract with BT now (whose broadband has been great, and I've never needed any form of customer service from them) & my price has jumped to £45pm, with no success "haggling"

My personal experience was horrible.

Honestly slower than dial up at times. Absolutely unusable. Streaming Netflix and Now TV was a pixelated mess.

Others mileage will inevitably vary just telling it how it was for myself.

Luckily managed to terminate my contract fee free after just 3 months.

Never again, I'd rather pay a little extra for a stable connection.

It should show a £3 discount once actually logged in

Thanks Sam for that, been on and you are correct, however the web site would not allow me to add my home phone call package. So got the BB package and will add the calls later. We Hope?

I don't understand how this happens, they're just the same line BT have installed and lease out to Vodafone, so how does it get that bad?

I'm in the same position as you, with BT out of contract but paying more for 68mb (70mb) and thinking of joining Vodafone as I'd be paying lessthan half of what I do now.

Alot of the faults stems from the dreadful router. WiFi would drop out, it would laugh at you if you wanted to connect more than one device etc even via cable it would disconnect. A way around that was to use your own modem/router. However the latest vox 3.0 router which is what they're supplying seems spot on. In a few areas though they're possibly oversubscribed which can slow things down for a minority of people. However I have never experienced any slowdown using my own router or the new vox 3.0 router which I'm using now.

Vodafone wouldn't be alone in regards to being oversubscribed. All providers have their fault.

I seem to get 5mb/s download in the evenings and about 70mb/s in the morning and throughout most of the day. Not the most reliable I’ve found with these. Been on the phone 3 times over the past month about Internet and slow speeds with them.

I believe it's £2 discount for mobile customers, not £3.

If you have a contract with a mobile phone its £3 discount, else SIMO £2

I've no idea, as others have said it may be down to the router, but all I know is I was so relieved to be released from contract early with no fees.

There are plenty of horror stories out there...

You've definitely struck lucky then as even with the newer router which they sent me to try it was no better.
I'm so tempted by this offer but after my horror show with BT's customer service. Having that peace of mind is a priority #1 for me. Never again signing up with any service provider with an abysmal rating.

In my experience Vodafone is dreadful constant drops in east London.

Same with Three to be honest. Probably the same for all providers in a densely populated city.
Worst broadband ever. On previous address a had always issue with speed. I moved 6 months ago and even on new address speed is dropping. Already contacted support 4 times. Last time 2 days ago. Tomorrow I’m going to call them and terminate contract.
Called yesterday Vodafone to cancel existing service (superfast 1 for £24pm). They offered a further 10% on the offer mentioned here, so I’ll be paying £20.70 per month for superfast 2 over the next 18 months. Feel free to try your luck. In the call, I mentioned the 100mbps deal from Virgin (£17.75pm for 12 months but sky rockets right after). Received the new router overnight!

Forget that they'll ever fix it. They oversold the product and don't have enough capacities in the local cabinets, which results in heavy network congestion at the evening when most people go online.

I had a fight with them 12 month ago and had to contact their corporate office to get rid of the contract and the two prior month refunded.

Hi, where did you find this info ?
Good internet just hope you don't have to deal with CS.
Got this the other day . Phoned up to ask why I was paying £26 when new customers pay £23 . Sent me a new, faster , 100/200 MB ready router for free as well. Very nice.

I agree they are poor. I talked to three people and only the third knew what I wanted and helped. Got what I wanted in the end though

I did , been a customer a few years. Got the £20 broadband and free new router. No other fees. Took a while and talked to 3 people. New 18 month contract. I have Vodafone mobile as well for that price.
Pretty good deal, I had their fibre 73mbps deal that just ran out and rang up they offered me a new contract to stay on the fibre 73 deal at £23. Which was originally £24 18 months ago.
I do wonder if they're it so cheap now, does that mean they'll be doing something insanely cheap for Black Friday? Apparently they did their 'best ever' price last year £26p/m for Superfast 2
38934821-SF8PL.jpgI've been on this plan for a few weeks. Here's a screenshot of my current speed.

If your mobile contact ends then they'll remove your discount.
Took the Vodafone Superfast 2 deal a couple of months before, when there was a free amazon echodot. Ours is a townhouse, and the router is placed in the ground floor living room. But we still get very good internet (around 55mpbs) even on the second floor without any WiFi extenders etc.

I work from home, and in need of constant high speed internet. Never had any hiccups thus far, touchwood. We also stream Prime, Netflix and I have no complaints in streaming HD content.

Best part of vodafone is that I can control the internet of all connected devices with the free vodafone WiFi controller app on my mobile. So, kids usually turn up on the dining table when their internet is switched off
On a serious note, I control the internet provided to everyone in the house using the vodafone app, which is quite handy.

Hi, where did you find this info ?

after receiving email I contacted them via chat
I was offered superfast fibre for 23 pm, business router VOX3.0 and informed it would be good to wait until 14th to get it as part of black friday sale
And they’ll hike the price mid contract knowing that most people will keep paying.

I’ve just terminated a Voda bb contract that had a year to run (thanks govt regulations!) due to an excessive price increase. Have moved to Virgin which was £5/month less with 100Mb data.
My experience is exact opposite of most, had a great services whilst with them. I think there were a couple of times I needed reboot router; and one day where I had zero service but support were willing to increase my data allowance on my Vodafone phone (if I had one) so I could connect via mobile whilst they fixed it. (also to be fair, it was the worse day of the year, with horrendous local weather chances are broadband was out for most in my area on that day ).
I left them to go with Virgin, and will be returning as soon as my "new customer" discount ends with Virgin. It's mental I have to keep changing providers due to "new customer pricing" but that is the way it is... sadly

While the telephone line to your house is the same, Vodafone have their own equipment in telephone cabs and their own backhaul network. As Vodafone are one of the cheapest providers, they get lots of people signing up whenever they have these offers, some areas get oversubscribed and their network doesn't have the capacity to support so many customers. They let me exit my contract penalty free last year because of this.
My experience of this isn't good.

They could be offering it for free and I wouldn't take it.
internet speeds are terrible for watching you know what... so pixelated it reminded me of being back in the 90's on a 10 inch monitor jerking the chicken

I've got the superfast 2 fibre. The speeds aren't as promised (just over 40mbps) but they are stable and I receive an additional 15% discount because of the speed guarantee. I haven't had any outages since I signed up a couple of months ago but my previous experience of their customer service was very poor. Best of luck.
Shocking internet. Usually turn WiFi off and use 4g it’s that bad.
Plusnet seem to be matching this (£23 anyway) for anyone out of contract.
Had a very poor experience. Speed much lower than min guaranteed speed. Spent hours trying to rectify.Offered a dongle and then charged for it. could not wait to leave. Much happier with new provider.

The new Voxi 3.0 modem/router is as good a broadband supplied modem/router as I've experienced. It copes well enough with multiple connections too etc... Get a strong reliable wifi signal throughout my house ( hollow walls ). They don't restrict access to torrent sites or IPTV etc.. They don't cut speed at peak times etc.. although in some area's it's suggested it maybe oversubscribed. However mine is very stable with little change in speed unless everyone is on it at the same time etc.. and then obviously it's shared between several devices. Vodafone CS is hit and miss. I've had good and bad experiences with them.

Just for balance, the new router has been the absolute bane of my time with Vodafone so far. Constantly rebooting, to the point where even after cooling off, DLM reduced the max sync speed on my line. Voda CS were fine once I got to speak to someone, which just took a while.

Had an openreach engineer come out to reset my line, confirmed there was no problems it. He even 'heard' my router rebooting while he was with me - that's right, the router makes a clicking noise when rebooting. All very strange.

Vodafone were blaming it on the wireless and clashes with some iOS devices? It hasn't rebooted in over a week, so if it continues, it is actually a decent bit of kit.
my contract with talktalk will end on the 20/11. i've been with talktalk for 5yrs without any problem, and good cs. i am tempted to move to vodafone as they are cheaper. £23/mth. i paid £25/mth with talk2 for 32mbps faster fibre. i contacted them to see if they can offer me better deal, else i will move to vodafone. unfortunately the best offer they can give me is £25/mth with 58 mbps. so i guess i will move to vodafone then. better do it now or wait a little bit?
can you get veryme reward with broadband deals
