Vodafone Red customers - free 6 months Netflix from 1st July

From the 1st of July any Vodafone customers on Red tariffs will get Netflix free of charge for 6 months.
Currently you get the choice of either Sky Sports Mobile or Spotify but this will be another choice.
This offer will be open to existing Red customers so not just new ones.

I'm sure there will be a load of comments below saying how bad Vodafone is and what a rip off etc etc. However if like me you have a business phone on a Red tariff and are not interested in Sky Sports or Spotify then this is good considering there is no additional cost.

Here's the link to activate offers.vodafone.com/gb
at the moment Netflix isn't showing as an option but will be from the 1st July.

I'm interested to see how it works eg do you have to watch it through the phone or do you just get an account which you can watch through the tv/PS3 but I guess we won't find out until the 1st.

Anyway I thought it was a good deal considering it won't cost me anything.

if it works like spotify it an account you can use anywhere.

hmm only 6 months , I have 2 year contract was told I get spotify for that period.

I have no issue with Vodafone retention deal of 25 quid for unlimited text, minutes and 8gb of data. usual price is £50 a month.

they or operator messed it up and first month was full price quick phone call and they checked recording and applied the discount.

never had spotify before but enjoying it. use it at work to block out the noise.

Hopefully it'll work in the same way then.
Yes shame only 6 months. Agree pretty certain Spotify and Sky Sports is for the full term. You can only choose one option but perhaps after 6 months you are then able tochoose one of the others once it expires. Not going to help you though I know!
Here's some more info.

Or £3.60 from fleabay if you feel so inclined?

This seems a bad deal compared to spotify and sky sports.

Spotify is normally £10 p/m so you get £240 worth of services
Sky Sports Mobile is is £5 p/m so you get £120 worth of services
Netflix is normally £6 p/m yet only get 6 months. So that's £36 of services.

Worst deal of the three, especially as you can get a free trial of netflix making the actual cost to buy slightly less than £36 for 6 months.

Cold from me

6 months free Netflix if you have Virgin TIVO as well - long enough to watch Breaking Bad and House of Cards anyway.

Correct regarding the worst of the three however for me personally I have no interest in Sky Sports Mobile or Spotify so the deal for me is have nothing or have Netflix which I am interested in so saves me having to subscribe or mess around with trial periods etc.

Still don't think it's necessarily a deal. You are thinking of it as something free as someone else (your work) pays for your phone.

Everyone else looks at this as a whole package (i.e phone, tariff, spotify, etc). I don't see why anyone would pay for a red tariff if you didn't get any value out of spotify/sky sports mobile.

Yep...i usually get 3 months out of them but the latest one is from a long standing ebayer with very high feedback and guarantees them for 6 months...plus he sent me three accounts to log in with so I am happy.

Can I ask which seller you use please? there are a few on there, and some sound a little bit dodgy!

Which phone did you get? My 5s was negotiated to £33 for 24 months at 4GB...
