Got offered this deal when tried to cancel the Vodafone contract.
Appreciate not the best package but may be suitable for those where 3 has coverage issues or do not want the hassle of changing the provider.

This is a joke right?

is this a retention deal from 2003?

I was offered 8gb of data unlimited mins and text + 12 months free Spotify when I went to cancel for £13 pm. Not jaw dropping I know but saved me claiming cash back and I wanted the Spotify premium. Not a good retention deal op.

Just as a heads up to the OP:

Retentions with Vodafone can offer 50% off any Sim Only non-discounted tariff. Therefore you can certainly get 4GB of data for £11 with unlimited minutes / texts.

You are likely to be able to get the Red Extra 8GB tarriff (advertised at £17) for around £10 on retentions, but it is already on offer so I won't say 100%, but certainly close to £10.

I'm currently on Unlimited Minutes / Unlimited Texts / 12 GB data for £13.50/month and 12 months Spotify multiplied by 4 phones - but that did take a reasonable amount of effort.

Supermod

Theres a fair amount of competition for these data offers at the moment so something like this as a retention deal isn't likely to get many excited. Not sure if you took this offer @skss but theres a couple of decent offers floating around for Plusnet plus GiffGaff etc offer no tie-ins. If you want to stay with Vodafone, quote a couple of these offers to them and cross your fingers!

this is really bad. op are u living under a rock 🤣

You probably could get a phone with that price lol

Three have just given 4gb u/l texts and mins, which is fine with me at £9pm.

Hi OP According to online contract terms you have 15 days to cancel your contract! I suggest go ahead and do that, the deal you are mentioning is not worth £5 Sorry .

I just had my retention deal heavily negotiated at £14 which includes 20GB of 4g data with unlimited minutes and text ! Speak to them you will be able to negotiate further. Good luck

What.....the......

OP - looking at what u posted 7 months ago what made u post this?

I was offered the 8 plus 256gb for £57 per month and £25 credit which drops the upfront cost down to £25 from £50 PATHETIC.

I offered 500min 1.5Gb for £6.25 (12 Months) today, is it good enough, decision time for me?

PS: The amount (Mins and Data) exactly match my needs.

Thanks .Still waiting to se if any better deal from Vodafone for less than 10pounds.

Sadly, many providers do not offer 4G in my area.

There is a 13 ppm deal my Vodafone which offers unlimited minds/texts and 4GB data but I do not need as much.

Thanks

Today I requested my PAC code from Vodafone, didn't get offered anything other than normal packages at no discount during the call so persisted until they gave my PAC code. About 4 hours later they called back with a deal;

20gb data, unlimited minutes, unlimited texts (the £20 package) for £17/month, but with 5 months of the 12 month contract free - so effectively works out at just under £10/month.

First they offered it with 4 months free, but I asked for more and got 5. Then I said I'm switching my wifes account too, I saw something online that if I were to add another sim to my own account I'd have gotten another 15% off - so they reduced the £20 to £17 too (we didn't actually merge her account with mine, but was just making a point to them that I could reduce the cost by doing that - so they just gave me the discount anyway)

I've a feeling I could have pushed for more, they gave in too easily. I'll see what I can do when they call back in the morning (I didn't commit and told them I would tomorrow if they called back)

The £17 is for a new line (additional), I don't think they can give it to you without taking a new line as they aren't allowed to discount those plans. I spoke with them yesterday and they really aren't offering much am surprised you managed to get 5 months free and the 15%. Did they ever call you back?

Yep they did call back and put it through. They gave 15% on both lines, and I didn't even need to go through the rigmarole of putting both lines on one account.

Both contracts are now £17/month each with first 5 months free of charge - all completed yesterday. I didn't manage to get anything more out of them.

At first they wouldn't budge on the £20 saying the monthly price was fixed and they could only give me free months - then when I mentioned the 15% thing they changed it to £17 ( I wasn't expecting 15% off *both*, but that's what they gave me so that was a bonus ). To be honest it sounded like she was in a hurry just to get it done, especially when she called back the next day she sounded as if she was in a rush.

In fact she was in such a rush she made the changes to my wife's account without speaking to her - all I had to do was give her my wife's phone number, not even her name (still using maiden name). We are not on the same account, the only thing that's the same is our home address. The day before she said she'd need to call my wife to confirm but on the day she just did it after saying "do you need me to call her?" and I said no. Dodgy, but it worked in my favour.

She sounded a bit pissed off to be fair but under the circumstances I didn't care!
