VODAFONE Retention Deal £14 inc vat - unltd mins / unltd txts / 13 gig data / 12 mnths contract = £168

Hi

Just called Vodafone as my 12 months sim only deal is coming to an end.

I pay £20 a month (inc vat) at moment for unltd mins/txts and 8 gig data with Spotify thrown in.

They have reduced to £14 month (inc vat) for unltd mins / txts / 13 gig data ( 8 gig + 5 gig free) but dropped the Spotify.

I thought this was a good deal - no faffing about with cash back.

The service from voda has been good over last 12 months - so no complaints personally - but I'm sure many have bad things to say about them.

Hope this helps somebody.

Dave

Was this a retention deal.?
That's not a bad deal. Just got a retention deal with vodafone for unlimited minutes and texts plus 20gb of data for £12 pm over 12 months.
Poor deal IMO. Three and EE do 30gb for £18pm
I got £19 a month unltd mins and texts with 16gb data and Spotify back in November and as I have Spotify that was a much better deal than the above

No it was a new deal it was posted on here couple of days ago so I thought I’d ask and they said yes no problem Ass you’ve seen it advertised
My retention deal with Vodafone last month was for same £14 but I got Unlimited mins and texts, 16Gb data plus Spotify for 12 months.
I am paying £14 for - unltd mins / unltd txts / 20 gig data / 12 mnths contract = £168 from mobilephonesdirect. They have stopped the deal, but you can get a cheaper one £12 from mobiles.co.uk and £10 TCB cashback

There's no Spotify with that, so take a fiver off the headline price of OPs deal if you would otherwise pay for that.

Edit : my bad - just noticed he dropped the Spotify. My mistake. The choice is between better overall value and the amount of hassle, I guess.

Literallty signed up to this deal yesterday. I mentioned id seen a "Cheap deal online" and he confirmed it unlocks certain options - one being this deal.
Good deal, due a renewal soon.
Mobiles.co.uk are doing 20gb of data with unlimited mins and texts for £12 (with cashback via redemption). If you are with Vodafone, they will do the same deal for £13.33 if you ring up and ask to cancel your current contract and you don't have to change your number, get new sim card or cashback via post etc. They charge £20 normally but knock off 20% for already being a customer and then they can offer a couple of months free so they charge £16 monthly after the first free 2 months.

I get 100gb for £7.50 a month well it works out at that as signed up for the razer phone deal thats posted on here. Free phone £30 a month with unlimited txts and calls and 100gb data and can use my allowance in other countries and also 30gb tethering included. I already ordered the samsung s9 sim free from very so i didnt need the razer phone so i sold that for £510 and also got £30 cashback with Quidco. so the contract costs £720 over the 24 months minus the £540 i got for phone and cashback = £180 so £180 divided by 24 months is £7.50 so i recommend anyone wanting this dealto act fast as it might not last long and dont forget to go through Quidco 1st
I just renewed and got 25Gb p/m £50 bill credit + spoitfy for £21.25 a month, works out just over £17 a month, great for heavy data user.
Just called to cancel and all they offered me was 8gb +Spotify for £20.30.
Time to play hard ball, do you have to request a PAC code to get a decent deal?
I don't seem to be able to get any good retention deals. My 12 months is up, I've ordered my PAC code after some haggling with offers but said no thanks and was expecting calls with better deals but nothing. I've gone with plusnet £8 3.5gb unlimited texts unlimited calls but i disovered i don't get a signal at all in my lounge or bedroom. I haven't ported my number yet and have about a week left on my Vodafone contract. Do I try again with Vodafone or try the abn (?) settings with plus net and stick it out....? I'd appreciate some tips for successful haggling. Thanks.

I find it hit and miss with vodafone. Some people mention on here key phrases they use with companies like EE such as. I've seen a "cheap deal online". I left vod as retention was rubbish, took a cheap sim only rolling 30 days with virgin, then took a new 12 month sim onlycontract with vod on a far better deal than they offered me for retention. Crazy to have to do that. Give Vod another try if i were you.
