Vodafone Retention Deal - iphone 6 64GB- £31.20 / month

Called Vodafone Cancellations team to get a PAC code, and got transferred to the retention team. Insisted that I only want an iphone 6 64GB. After much debate / arguments, got offered, 1000 mins, unlimited texts, 1GB of 4G data (unlimited for first three months) for £39 a month, NO upfront cost and also free 1st month. Also got the 20% Vodafone VEA discount as a family member works for one of the companies on their list. So as per my calculation it works out to £29.90 a month (24 months contract)
Now some useful information to all, before folks starts saying that 20% VEA does not work, it does work if forms filled correctly, I can see the discount when I log in my account online, also got the first bill and it shows the free first month and the discount.
I agree the network is not great and customer service is useless, but I think this is a great deal. Don't know if anybody else can get better deal than this, if so, would be keen to know.

Through retentions i got the 64gb iphone with unlimted mins and text with 4gb of data for £34.60, so with my VEA brings it to £27.68. Took a long time on the phone though. I doubt this deal will benefit many so imagine it will go cold.

That's great! TBH I knew even before I posted that it will go cold before of the apple haters out their, but the point was just to make some folks aware that speak to the retentions and kind of get what you want out of them within reasons, so even if one person benefits, good enough for me.

Seem to have missed out the important part about length of contract

Exactly, personally i hate vodafone as a network, but at such a good price i'd happily deal with their poor service ha. It does make me laugh how when talking to retentions and saying a price you want to pay they say "no way its impossible" etc etc but 5 mins later give you that price.

Very true, network is not great, and customer service is very poor to say the least, but as you correctly said that at such a price, you cannot complain! Also, got the vodafone sure signal which is brilliant must admit, so even when the network is down for whatever reason still get full 3G/4G coverage at home/ work, so all good.

Exactly, you got it for £260, what did you get, new phone? Just a pic of the new phone? What?

If anyone from Vodafone sees this i qualify for an upgrade and if they can match this deal get in touch and i will commit to a new contract.

You can always check on 191 option 3 and then 3 again. I work for vodafone retentions myself and can tell you if ringing up retentions will not give you this deal unless your within the last 75 days of your contract (your upgrade date) then we can help you out .

Vhero thanks for the feedback but I did try 191 option 3 and 3 again but they said they could not match it plus they said you cannot get discount plus VEA. If you can help then certainly get back to me.

Managed to get a decent retention deal from Vodafone eventually. IPhone 6 64gb, unlimited mins and texts, 4 gb data all for £31 but qualify for VEA so takes it down to £24.80 and free phone. 24 month contract.
